“I always thought I had a bunch of friends, but when I needed someone to booze with, you were the only one left Yvonne’s eyes were full of sorrow. “I’m such a loser”

Seeing her upset, Josiah frowned and asked, “Did Estelle make you angry again?”

Yvonne shook her head lightly “Jonathan hurt Hattie today, all because of Estelle. Can you believe it? If I hadn’t stepped in, Hattie could’ve been toast. I’m so torn inside. I worry about him getting into trouble, but why should I? It’s not like he did it for me”

She covered her eyes with her hand and laughed bitterly, “But I couldn’t just stand by and watch him hurt others”

“Where’s Estelle?” Josiah asked in a cold tone

“Estelle?” Yvonne scoffed, “She’s probably thrilled that Jonathan hurt Hattie for her. She must be over the moon knowing Jonathan cares about her so much!”

Josiah downed the rest of his drink, “I don’t get it. Why would Jonathan fall for such a shallow woman?”

Yvonne gulped down half of her drink, her face filled with sorrow, “Hattie said something today that really got to me. She said she didn’t want to be famous, didn’t want to be a star, she just wanted to be Jonathan’s woman!

I had that chance once, but I chose to let it go!

Now I don’t even have a

chance to fight anymore! Seeing Yvonne in such agony, Josiah couldn’t help but feel a pang of sympathy. “They’re not married yet. How can you say there’s no chance?”

Yvonne shook her head, “There’s no chance. Estelle has won Jonathan’s heart. She’s really something. Ive completely lost.”

Josiah smirked, “Even if she got him through tricks, it won’t last

With winter approaching, the weather got colder. When the crew handed out padded jackets, Malcom picked out the best down jacket for Estelle and asked Craig to deliver it to her

Later, when the heaters arrived, they set up one for Estelle first.
