Estelle grabbed two plates and handed one to Old Mr. Jarvis, “Grandpa, let’s have breakfast together.” 

Old Mr. Jarvis chuckled, “Sounds good.” 

After he spoke, he seemed to remember something and sighed, “In the future, you’ll be spending your holidays with the Lamont clan!” 

“No way, I’ll be with you every holiday, regardless of whether I marry into the Lamont family!”Estelle smirked. 

Old Mr. Jarvis snorted, “Every girl says that before they get married. But after, they realize that not everything is under their control and their words can’t always be trusted!” 

Estelle raised an eyebrow, “Grandpa, don’t you know me at all? I never make promises I can’t keep!” 

Old Mr. Jarvis laughed heartily, “Alright, I’ll remember that!” 

Old Mr. Jarvis had a big grin on his face throughout breakfast, saying the food was especially delicious! 

After they finished eating, Estelle played a game of chess with Old Mr. Jarvis. Before they could finish the game, it was already time for lunch. 

Estelle spent the last two days with Old Mr. Jarvis, and he seemed really happy. 

After lunch, Old Mr. Jarvis went to the pond in the backyard to fish, with Estelle accompanying him. 

The weather was just right, and the temperature was high. 

They sat by the pond, basking in the sun, feeling warm all over. 

Old Mr. Jarvis inquired about Estelle’s life in J City, and she willingly answered each question, sharing details about her work and her circle of friends. 

In the middle of their chat, Jonathan sent a message. Estelle took a picture of the pond and sent it to him. 

Jonathan replied, “For some reason, I’m kinda jealous of that pond.” 

Estelle smiled. 

They chatted for a while until a servant came to tell them that people from the military were here. Jonathan nodded, told Estelle, and then headed to the living room. 

Estelle commenced her day with an invigorating jog amidst the mountains. Upon her return, she pedaled her way to the square, where she enjoyed observing children and couples feeding pigeons. Along her route, she encountered a tantalizing dessert shop. Despite a moment of hesitation, Estelle decided against entering and continued on her way. 

He had been so obedient, she should listen to him too. 

The day flew by fast. At dinner, Estelle told Old Mr. Jarvis that she would be leaving the next day. 

She had told Old Mr. Jarvis when she just arrived. Old Mr. Jarvis nodded, “Go on, enjoy yourself!” 

Estelle suddenly felt a pang of reluctance. Her brother hadn’t returned yet, and she was about to leave after only two days at home, leaving Old Mr. Jarvis all alone.
