Estelle thought Jonathan was a bit off today. Just as she was about to open her mouth, the man swooped in for a heated kiss, "Shut it, I don't wanna know!"

He really wanted to ask her, who was she really, and why was she getting so close to him? But he just couldn't bring himself to ask. He was scared that once the truth came out, there was no going back. He was scared that once the truth was out, it would be the moment she left him!

As long as she was still in his arms, he'd rather live in denial than lose her!

"Jonathan!" Estelle said, a bit uneasy, grabbing onto his soaking wet shirt.

Jonathan kissed her passionately, from her eyes to her nose, then her lips. His hot breath brushed past her ear as he asked in a low voice, "Ella, do you love me?"

Estelle rested her forehead on his shoulder and softly hummed in agreement.

After a while, Jonathan dried off Estelle's body and wrapped her in a towel, heading to the bedroom in large strides.

As soon as Estelle lied down on the bed, Jonathan held her tightly in his arms.

In the middle of the night, Estelle fell asleep out of exhaustion. She wasn't sure if it was her imagination but she felt like Jonathan was different tonight, a stark contrast to his usual gentleness. But she was too tired and sleepy to think too much, falling into a deep slumber.

Jonathan held her tightly from behind, his eyes filled with unspoken melancholy.

"Ella, I don't care where you come from, you belong to me!"

Two days later, Jonathan received a call from Nate.

Jonathan's face turned frosty, "Who is Jason?"

"Quintin's apprentice and also the eldest son of the Gilder family in B City."

Jonathan frowned, it was someone from the Gilder family!

But how could the Gilder family be involved with international dark forces? That was impossible! What was the relationship between Estelle and Jason?

Jonathan suddenly remembered something, "Whose house was Emily living in at the Royal Mansion?"

Nate answered, "We've checked, the house is under Jason's name!"
