"Coming!" Norah trotted into the room.
"What the heck are you doing?" Xavier asked in a deep voice.
"I know you guys are too lazy to do chores, so I bought some stuff to help out," Norah said with a smile.
Xavier nodded, "Alright, but you're not paying for this, I'll transfer the money to you."
As he spoke, he transferred fifty thousand to Norah, "Is that enough?"
Norah refused to accept it and returned the money.
Xavier frowned, "You're letting us big guys take advantage of a little girl like you?"
"Should friends pay for gifts? Unless you don't consider me a friend!"
"That's a different story!" Xavier said seriously, "If you won't accept the money, then don't come over again!"
Norah pouted, "Fine, I'll accept it, but I decide how much."
"Go ahead!"
"Two hundred!"
Xavier smirked, "Is there a thousand after that?"
"No!"
Xavier reluctantly picked up a razor from the bedside table, "Do you know how much this costs? It's also two hundred, do you think it's worth a washing machine or a dryer?"
"Two hundred? That's too much! I told you not to buy it!" Norah picked up the razor and turned it over, "Then give this to me, we'll call it even!"
Norah looked at Damian's face, seeming to understand something, "Is it Mr. Flemmings who doesn't want me to change his dressing?"
Damian laughed awkwardly, “He may seem rough, but he is very considerate. He's doing it for your own good!"
Norah understood Xavier's meaning and knew it was indeed inconvenient for her to change the dressing. But somehow, she felt a bit sad. She handed the lunch she bought for Xavier to Damian, didn't say anything, and went to the lobby to work.
Damian sighed and walked upstairs.
As he was changing Xavier's dressing, Damian apologized, "I feel like we're not being fair. Norah is a very loyal person. She's from a rich family, but she doesn't look down on us, and she always thinks about us."
Xavier frowned, "What are you trying to say?"
"Nothing, it's just that I told Norah not to come upstairs just now, and she seemed very upset. She just bought us all these things, but we're not letting her come up."
Damian's words irritated Xavier. He reached for a cigarette, "We're not from her world, do you really think we can be friends? Once my injury heals, she'll leave and we'll never see her again."
