The word "tired" made everything Estelle wanted to say got stuck in her throat. She stared at him in disbelief, slowly standing up and stepping back, her eyes gradually filling with tears and pain.
In fact, she had already noticed it, hadn't she? From the first time he didn't cuddle her to sleep, from the first time he didn't return home after a night out, she had sensed something was off.
But she didn't expect it to happen so fast!
She didn't expect someone's love could disappear so quickly!
So, he didn't actually go on a business trip abroad, he just didn't want to be with her anymore, and didn't know how to break it off, so he avoided her, gave her the cold shoulder!
Jonathan saw the sorrow in her eyes, and he almost softened. But then he wondered, was she genuinely upset, or was she just putting on a show?
So, they couldn't be together any longer, because he was constantly suspicious.
This relationship was at a dead end.
Any further, and it would be a bottomless pit!
He stood up and said nonchalantly, "Sorry, since you chose Xavier, you can only lose me!"
Her heart was too crowded. If he couldn't be the only one, he'd rather walk away entirely!
Estelle's eyes turned red, her cheeks were cold. She sneered, "there is no need to make these excuses. If you don't like me, just break up. No one says love has to last forever!"
Any relationship could come to an abrupt end. Nobody owed anybody anything. It was just a matter of losing interest.
She lowered her gaze, her tone as cold as ice, "Thank you for honoring our agreement. If you don't like it, just be honest with the other person."
Jonathan felt a dull pain in his heart and didn't want to stay any longer. He turned to leave.
"I'll move out as soon as possible," Estelle said quietly.
Jonathan paused and sneered. Would she move to Jason's place at the Royal Mansion?
He said "I'm fed up"!
How familiar that phrase sounded to her. Charlie James said the same thing to every girlfriend when they broke up.
So, that was a common phrase.
It turned out that Jonathan was no different from Charlie!
The clear light in Estelle's eyes dimmed bit by bit, until it was like extinguished ashes. She sat from afternoon till nightfall, then got up and started packing.
This was his house, and since they had broken up, she couldn't really stay here.
They had fought before, but she had never felt the urge to run away like now. The one who invested more in the relationship was hurt more!
Lucky for her, she didn't have much to pack. A few sketches, a few books, and then there was nothing left that belonged to her.
