Her mood was a little hard to express, her fingers unconsciously sliding down, her eyes closing, leaning in to kiss the man's lips.
"Knock, knock, knock!"
The quiet night was suddenly interrupted by urgent knocking. Yvonne jumped, snapping out of the moment, turning her head towards the door. "Who's there?"
"Yvonne, are you in there? It's me!"
Yvonne frowned slightly. It was Henson Lamont knocking at her door!
She took a deep breath, fixed her clothes, pulled the blanket over Jonathan, and then got up to open the door.
Henson was standing outside the door, holding a cup, politely calling out, "Miss Yvonne!"
Yvonne smiled softly, "Henson, still up so late?"
"Fabian said he came back a while ago, seemed pretty hammered. I had a hangover cure prepared for him," Henson explained.
Yvonne's smile warmed, "Henson, you're so considerate. Your uncle didn't spoil you for nothing!"
"It was Estelle who asked me to look after my uncle," Henson said, looking at Yvonne.
Yvonne's smile froze slightly as she reached out to take the medicine from him, "I’ll feed him, he's out cold."
"No need!" Henson avoided her hand, holding the cup and heading towards the bedroom, casually saying, "I'll do it, so he won’t blame me for lack of manners when he wakes up, bothering the guest!"
Yvonne's smile grew more strained. She pursed her lips and followed him back into the room.
Henson walked through the living room to the bedroom and saw that Jonathan was sound asleep. He called out, "Uncle Jonathan!"
Jonathan didn't stir.
"I'll do it," Yvonne stepped forward.
"Really, no need!" Henson turned back, "It's pretty late, Miss Yvonne, you should go home, your folks must be worried. I’ll look after my uncle!"
The next morning, Jonathan was woken up by a phone call. He rolled over, picked up the phone and put it to his ear, grumpily saying, "Hello!"
"Still awake?" Charlie smiled lightly, "Is there anyone else on the bed?" Jonathan frowned, "What's your deal?"
Charlie hinted, "You were completely hammered last night, Yvonne brought you home."
Jonathan froze for a moment, then suddenly opened his eyes and looked to the side, fortunately, there was nothing. He breathed a huge sigh of relief, feeling a bit more awake. Sitting up and rubbing his forehead, he said, "Just me!"
Charlie chuckled, asking, "What happened? I've never seen you drink so badly!"
Jonathan's eyes were gloomy, his voice hoarse, "Just this once, I won't get drunk again!"
Post-breakup indulgence, he only allowed himself once!
"So you and Estelle, you really broke up?" Charlie asked in disbelief.
"Yeah!"
