Full Moon Curse (by Dream) novel Chapter 11

Chapter 11

“So, two of your friends are hanging with the stupid human, and…” Right before she finishes Cole jumps out of the passenger seat and heads to the refreshments. Fuck. Her head whips around to face me. “All three of your friends are hanging out with her? Has she become the high school slut over night?” She practically screeches, and my anger overflows from Clara calling her a slut. “Just shut up, Clara. I’m trying to watch the movie.” I try to hold back my anger, the last thing anyone needs is for Clara to see me defend Amy. That’d be the final straw. She gasps at me and leaves the car slamming her door shut.

I see her start walking over to Amy and Dallas as they are headed back to Walker’s suv, drinks in hand. I inwardly sigh, stepping out of my car. When I go to stand next to Clara, whose glaring at Amy, Dallas gives me a what the fuck look. Yeah, I can accept this is my fault, I shouldn’t have brought Clara along on my stalking adventure, but I thought I’d be less conspicuous this way.

“What the fuck are you doing here?” Clara snarls at Amy. I see Amy looking around, seemingly looking for an escape route, but Dallas speaks up before she can make a run for it. “Clara, just mind your own business. She doesn’t have to explain why she’s here.” Clara glares at him like he’s grown an extra head. “What Dallas? You actually have feelings for your human slut? Oh perfect, Cole. You going to defend your little slut to?” She asks as Cole reaches Dallas and Amy, with popcorn from the stand. Cole puts on a smirk, “I mean I’m not sure who my slut is, but if for some reason you’re talking about Aims, yeah, I will.” Cole responds as he goes to stand on the other side of Amy, slightly in front of her. Aims? They all have a nickname for her? What the fuck is going on? I watch everybody’s actions to stunned to say anything.

Maybe Amy really is putting everybody on some sort of love spell, just yesterday we were discussing why Dallas was so obsessed with her. Now everybody is. Why is everybody suddenly standing up for her? I hear a car door shut behind me and look to see Walker get out of his suv. He doesn’t come over, he just stands next to his suv, his arms folded together over his chest, glaring at Clara. Clara’s head shoots back to look at Walker, when they come back to meet Amy’s there’s fire filling them to the brim. “Wow, you must have some magic pussy.” She laughs humorlessly. I can tell how uncomfortable Amy is, her face is red, and she refuses to look up from her

shoes.

When she finally looks up and I can see she’s holding back tears, fuck if that doesn’t make me want to punch Clara in the face right here. I want to grab Amy and get her away from all this, but I know better. Any help from me and she’ll have a bigger target on her back than she already does. She looks straight at Dallas, and it pains me that she wants his protection. She used to look at me like that, when we were younger. Now, all I ever see is hurt, fear or anger, if she ever even looks my way. “Dallas, can you take me home. I’m not really feeling the movie anymore.” She says sweetly, and Dallas looks kindly into her eyes. “Yeah, let’s go Aims. Maybe you can do the rest of the movie for us some other time.” He responds and starts to lead her to his car.
