Full Moon Curse (by Dream) novel Chapter 161

Chapter 161

While I’m happy I got to spend more time with my mom, I hate that she had no options in life other then to die. I grab my mom’s hand and squeeze.

She gives me a reassuring smile, “I’m happy, Sweetheart. Don’t get me wrong, I’d love to be around for you and to watch those to babies grow up, but you’re safe now and I’m so happy it’s finally over for you.”

I sigh, is it though? I’m still here. I’m still not with them.

I look at my mom thinking about that. “How are you here? I thought he took souls when he killed them?” I ask.

She smiles and looks over at the Goddess, “It had something to do with the fact that I’m a wolf, and the fact I was wearing my necklace. She brought me here after I passed and now, I’m essentially hiding.” She explains, with a shrug.

I swallow, “For all time? Can you do that?” I ask, looking over at the Goddess, who nods. “As long as she’s wearing the necklace, I don’t see why not.’

I nod slowly, then a pain radiates through my stomach. I clutch my stomach, and my mom pats my back. The pain radiates to my spine then my legs, as I topple over falling off the couch.

“What’s happening?” I ask, praying it’s not what official death feels like, though I have to imagine it’s close.

“Looks like Hazel found the spell.” The Goddess says cryptically. I glare up at her for more information, but she just smiles.

Suddenly, everything around starts turning white, and then grey. “Mom.” I say, not really sure what I’m asking. Her body fading into the grey background.

I see her smile, “I love you, Sweetheart. I’ll be watching over you.” I hear her words, then everything goes

black.

I fall into an abyss of nothingness, for what feels like forever, before my body lands gently on a hard surface.

I feel something tightly wrapped around me and slowly start hearing chatter.

“They said she’s doing a lot better; she might wake up soon.”

“Her heart’s a lot stronger; I can hear it now.”

“I think you need to loosen your grip; you’re probably going to suffocate her.”

I hear a growl, but then whatever is around me loosens, but only slightly.

I groan as I try to open my eyes, the brightness being too much after the black nothingness for so long.

I hear a few gasps and a shuffle, “Turn off the lights.” Liam says, as my focus starts coming more into view. I still haven’t opened my eyes, but I can hear the different voices now.

“Thank the Goddess. Never do that to me again, Angel.’ Liam sighs, relieved into my head. And I shuffle my body closer to his, thanking the Goddess for letting me come back to him.

I finally open my eyes, the room having darkened, with only a small light coming from the side of the curtain on

the window.

I look around the room and then to Liam. Mostly everybody is here. “My parents are at home with the kids, who are begging to see us. But we wanted to make sure you were fully okay before they saw you. Goddess, Amy. You terrified us.” Liam says and I wince.

“Mostly just Liam. Everyone else knew you’d pull through.” Cole says with a shrug and a sly smile. Liam growls, and I roll my eyes, holding on to Liam a little tighter.

I can’t imagine what he went through while I was with the Goddess.

Liam looks at me confused. “With the Goddess?” I smile, “We have a lot to talk about.” I tell in and he nods.

After I explain everything that happened to me and he explained everything that happened while I wasn’t fully here, the doctor finally comes in.

“Luna, I’m so happy to see you up.” He says and I grimace at the term, still not fully used to it. Not to mention, I’m not the Luna yet.

I smile and nod to the doctor, while he starts checking me over. He tells us he wants me to stay at least another night to make sure everything stays okay. We thank him and he goes on his way.

Liam helps me get out of bed, so I can shower and take care of myself. I want nothing more then to see my kids, and it’s finally fully safe for them!

I’m not happy about how everything went down, but my number one priority has always been to keep everyone I love safe, and now it’s finally a reality. We can all finally just live and be happy. I couldn’t ask for more.

Liam helps me into the shower after helping me undress. I still feel a bit weak, but still better than I have in a while. I don’t know if that’s from adrenaline after everything finally went right, or the fact my connection to my dad’s broken, or a mixture of everything, but I’m not questioning it.
