Chapter 58
Liam pulls me out of the game room, and glares at Dallas. “You couldn’t see how uncomfortable she was?” Liam accuses Dallas and I roll my eyes. Dallas throws his hands up in surrender. “Dude, those girls were vicious, I was scared they’d rip my head off if I interrupted their questioning. I laugh and look up at Liam. “I’m capable of getting out a social situations if need be. I was uncomfortable, but I was fine. I think I might actually like a few of them. It’s not Dallas’s fault.” I explain, and Liam looks down at me to read my face, I must convince him, because he smiles pulling me into his side and kisses the top of my head.
We head up to the living room, the party is going really well, Mia and Walker disappeared somewhere, Cole being the life of the party is dancing like a crazy person on the makeshift dance floor. Liam leads us to the seat he claims at all his parties and I sit on his lap, enjoying the occasional kiss or whisper in my ear, sending chills throughout my whole body.
I head to kitchen to grab another drink. Dallas follows me in there making a joke about getting drunk. When Clara comes out of no where and goes for my hair but misses and her fingers catch my necklace and rips it off my neck and it falls to the floor. Before I can even look to see her face, Dallas is carrying her to the door while she shouts and kicks him, and Liam’s by my side. Jesus, wolves can move so fast, I didn’t even have time to be scared before they solved the problem. I lean down to pick up my necklace and look over it. Liam leans over and kisses the top of my head, “Don’t worry, I can fix it.” He says sweetly.
Next thing I know Walker and Cole both walk in, looking for any other threat around the kitchen. Mia runs to my side and looks at the necklace in my hand. “What a bitch.” She says and I just start hysterically laughing. Earning me looks from all my friends, who slowly start laughing with me. It’s not that I’m not upset about my necklace, I’m not sure what came over me. I look up at Liam, “Can we fix it now? My mom will be upset if she see’s it’s broken.” He nods and grabs a little toolbox out from under the sink and takes the necklace from me.
My neck feels bare, I’ve literally never taken that necklace off. Hopefully, Liam can fix it. Before I know it, he looks up and smiles. Sliding behind me he starts to put it back on, I move my hair out of the way for him. “Thank you.” I say, once he clasps it and look up at him smiling. He looks at me worried, “Are you sure you’re okay?” I just nod, looking around at all my friends looking at me the same way as Liam. I chuckle, “Guy’s, Dallas had her out of the house and Liam by my side before I could even process what had happened. She didn’t hurt me, and I had no time to be scared. I’m fine, I promise.” They all seem to take in what I said and laugh along side me, seemingly proud of themselves. Which I mean, they should be.
The eventful night finally ended, and Liam takes me back to my house and gets me settled into bed. Leaving me with a gentle kiss.
