Full Moon Curse (by Dream) novel Chapter 6

Chapter 6

I walk out my door the next day to get ready to leave for school. Mia left around ten last night, after discussing everything with a fine-tooth comb. Granted it’s all speculation and theory, but I feel like we got a handle on most of the possibilities. I look up after locking the door and see Dallas parked outside my house. He’s leaning up against his passenger side door and smiling over at me. I ignore him and head to my bike. I hear him run over to me,

“Aims, come on. Let me give you a ride to school.” He pleads, I look at him like he’s crazy. “I’m fine with riding my bike but thank you.” I reply. He smirks,

“Okay fine, but I’m going to have to run to try and keep up with you. And I think I pulled something in my leg yesterday, so you might be injuring me even more by not taking me up on my ride offer.” He jokes, while rubbing his leg and getting in a running position, ready to take off with me.

My only assumption is he’s trying to get closer to me, to be able to put their plan in place. I roll my eyes at his ridiculousness and lay my bike back up against the garage. I’ve already decided to pretend to fall into this plan, might as well start now.

I walk over to his car, him following with a smile on his face like he just won the lottery. I roll my eyes and head to open the door, but before I can he reaches in front of me and pulls it open.

I look up at him in question, and when I face back to the car, I notice Liam leaving his house. He stares directly at us and seems to get really angry. Storming the rest of the way to his car, slamming the door shut, and peeling out of his driveway.

That was weird, but maybe he’s not apart of the plan, or he’s mad about what they plan on doing. The second thought scares me, he’s been privy to a lot of the things they’ve done to me before and hasn’t objected, so what could be so bad? I look back at Dallas and he still just has a smile on his face, but he shrugs telling me he doesn’t know what Liam’s problem is. I’m even more wry getting into Dallas’s car now, but I I slowly sink in.

I’m so nervous now, I wasn’t really before because I figured it’d be the usual. But, if Liam’s upset about it, it must be really bad. I can feel my palms become sweaty and I try to wipe the evidence away on my jeans.

After Dallas shuts my door and runs to the driver’s side, he hops in still seemingly really happy. “Pick whatever station you want. Or you can throw your Bluetooth on, and we can listen to your music. I’d like to hear the kind of music you listen to.”

I laugh, feeling some of the tension leave my body. “I’ve heard the music you guys listen to at parties. I don’t think you’d be interested in my music.” I say buckling up and laying my head back on the seat, just letting the station he had on play. I hear him sigh as I look out the window.
