Full Moon Curse (by Dream) novel Chapter 77

Chapter 77

I take a deep breath and walk inside. My mom’s been so busy taking care of Amy and planning the funeral that she had forgot that the mess inside Amy’s house needed to be cleaned up. I instantly smell Amy’s blood when I walk inside. It smells horrible having just sat here for a month. I can see the path Amy took to get outside from the trail of blood. The anger in my heart growing stronger the longer I look at it. I step around the blood walking up the stairs and see a pile of blood outside of Amy’s mom’s room. When I smell it, it smells like Amy’s though. That must be where she first got shot. The more I stare at how much blood there is the more I wonder how in the world she ran over to my house. She fought for her life right here, all alone. I look into Heather’s room through the broken door and see some blood on her bed. This place looks horrible, this whole house looks like a murder scene. Goddess, thank you for letting Amy make it out of this alive.

I walk into Amy’s room and look around. I know most of her things are in the suitcase’s downstairs, but I wanted to make sure she didn’t miss anything important. I doubt she’ll ever want to come in here again. I see old pictures hanging from the wall, some of her and Mia, and then I see the one of her and her mom and grab them. I grab anything that might be sentimental, she might want these things one day. I look at her desk and see a little shoe box halfway open and go look into it. This must have been what she was doing when everything happened.

I opened the box and was surprised by what I see. On the top of the box, was the bracelet I gave her on her birthday. I pull it out and look further, everything in this box is from our childhood. Old movie tickets, pictures, the presents I gave her on her birthday’s, everything. I stand there in awe; I can’t believe she kept all this. I grab the box and most of the clothes she wasn’t able to pack, then head down to grab her suitcases. I can’t stand being away from her for this long.

I bury the sentimental stuff in the back of my closet, when she’s ready for it I’ll give it all to her. Then go to give her all her clothes. When I walk in, she’s sitting at the edge of her bed staring at Walker. He’s talking about nothing important, probably just trying to take Amy’s mind off things. I start to put Amy’s things away for her, but Mia takes it from me, saying I wasn’t doing it right. I think she’s just trying to find something to do for her, all of us are at a loss about how to help her.

“What about a movie?” Dallas asks looking over at Amy. We all watch her, waiting for an answer. She just nods and goes to stand up, heading for the door. I go to pick her up, because I don’t want her to have to climb two flights of stairs to get to the movie room. She doesn’t argue and just smiles slightly turning her head to look into space. And that’s where she remains the whole movie, staring at the screen but lost in her own thoughts.

I hate this. I need her to talk to me, but what she needs is more important then what I need. Granted, I have no idea what she needs right now.
