She had no more lingering worries, and she had no desire to sit around the house with nothing to do,
Margaret pushed open her bedroom door and walked downstairs.
Bright lights filled the living room on the first floor. Timothy stood in the center of the hall, directing a group of uniformed staff as they carried high-grade ingredients into the kitchen and storage rooms.
Timothy spoke in a firm tone while pointing at the supplies. “Keep the deep-sea shrimp at exactly three degrees below zero. Even a small change will ruin their flavor, And handle those boxes of star fruit carefully. None of you can afford to pay for damaged goods.”
The young blond boy usually acted clingy and playful around Margaret, but he carried himself like a natural leader when giving orders.
Margaret leaned against the stair railing and watched the scene.
Most of the new stewards and chefs had spiritual power levels around A class. They counted as elites among ordinary people, yet they worked as helpers for the nineteen-year-old young master.
Timothy was thoughtful enough not to let the staff stay overnight. He told all of them to leave once their work was done each day.
The house stood on the remote outskirts of Prime Planet. The commute was long for these workers, who spent two to three hours traveling along the aerial roadways every single day.
Life was tough for working people-even in the interstellar era.
Margaret walked straight over to Timothy and rugged gently at his sleeve. “Timothy, come here for a
moment.”
Timothy had been pointing at a crate of ingredients and giving instructions. He turned around the second he heard her voice.
His bright blue eyes lit up the instant he saw Margaret. “My Lady, aren’t you asleep yet?”
He abandoned his tasks at once and hurried over, his whole manner warm and eager.
The two moved over to the floor-to-ceiling windows, away from the busy servants.
Margaret got straight to the point. “You’ve been talking nonstop about taking me to the Valoran Galaxy.”
Timothy froze for a second, then nodded wildly with pure joy. His blond hair bounced with his quick movements. “Absolutely! It’s the aurora season over there right now, and the views are breathtaking. I own several private resort planets. We can pick whichever you like. We can lounge by the ocean or go skiing— I’ll arrange everything perfectly.”
“Then let’s head out,” Margaret said casually. “Baar is away on business, and I haven’t had any important tasks lately. A vacation sounds nice.”

“Great!” Timothy cheered loudly and spread his arms, ready to pull her into a hug.
Margaret reacted quickly. She pressed her palm against his forehead and held him back.
“Don’t get too excited yet.” Margaret said as she turned toward the front door. “We need to let Cheiron know first. We all live under the same root, and it would be rude to leave without a word.”
The big smile faded from Timothy’s face. He pouted and muttered quietly under his breath, but he still followed after her reluctantly.
Back on the second floor, Margaret knocked on Cheiron’s door.
The door opened a moment later.
Before anyone could get a clear look at the person inside, a tiny black bird no bigger than a person’s palm flapped its wings. It squeezed through the narrow gap in the doorway, landed lightly on Margaret’s shoulder, and rubbed its fluffy head against her cheek. The bird let out soft, cheerful chirps.
Margaret blinked in surprise and realized this small creature was Cheiron’s spirit beast. A smile tugged at her lips. Cheiron always kept a calm, reserved demeanor in public, yet his spirit beast was a plump, little bird that loved to act cute and seek affection.
She stroked the bird’s soft head, enjoying the pleasant texture of its feathers. She then lifted her gaze toward the doorway.
Warm lamplight cast a soft glow over Cheiron.
He wore a luxurious dark gray silk robe, with the sash tied loosely around his waist-it looked ready to slip open at any moment.
The collar hung wide open, revealing smooth skin and sleek, well-defined collarbones. The faint outline of firm muscle on his chest was also visible. His neat hair was messy now, with a few damp strands falling across his forehead and tiny water droplets still clinging to them.
The cold restraint that usually lingered in his gray eyes was gone. They held the lazy, drowsy look of someone who had just finished bathing, and a faint pink tint colored the corners of his eyes.
Margaret’s gaze lingered a little longer on the open collar. Her heartbeat skipped unexpectedly.
Cheiron noticed where her eyes rested, and a faint smile tugged at the corner of his mouth. His gaze soon moved past her and landed on Timothy, who stood nearby with a guarded expression. “Ms. Greene, it’s quite late. Is there something you need?”
As he spoke, his long, slender fingers reached out. He gently lifted the playful spirit beast off Margaret’s shoulder and pulled it back to his side. The little bird had been showing off foolishly without a care.
Margaret quickly looked away and coughed softly to hide her embarrassment.
“Timothy wants to take me on a vacation to the Valoran Galaxy,” she explained. “We plan to leave early tomorrow morning, so I came to tell you”
She paused for a moment, out of common courtesy, and added an invitation. “Would you like to come along with us?”
