I couldn’t stop smiling when I stared at the stick showing two pink lines.

A gift from the Almighty, a surprise I wasn’t expecting but the feeling of having another life growing inside me, it was surreal.

When I was pregnant with Lena, I was too late to share the news with Logan. I had mixed feelings. I doubted him and our unstable marriage but now it’s different.

When I took the test and it turned out positive, I didn’t wait like last time. I had learned my best lessons.

“Mommy, I want to eat French fries. You don’t let me eat them.” Lena poked my arm and my attention dropped on my daughter.

“You can eat them tonight but not much or else your stomach will hurt.” I said tapping on her cute nose.

“Can I eat burgers and ramen too?” She grinned.

“You can eat only one so pick your choice. Don’t be greedy.” I raised my brow at her.

She made a grumpy face and turned to her father.

“Daddy, I want to eat all three. Please, tell Mommy to allow me.” She gave a puppy face to her father knowing her father would give in to her demands.

“Sorry but I can’t go against your Mom as well. She keeps track of my diet also and she is right. You can eat healthier foods with any of your favourite items.” Logan carefully tried to make her understand.

As much as we loved our kids, we also made sure that they’d not be spoiled.

“Lucas, what do you want to eat?” I asked Lucas who was sitting with Lena on backseats in our sever seater car.

“I will eat burgers with extra cheese. I can also have a cheating day like Lenny.” He said.

He sounded normal after two days and it relieved me.

“You can have them but with some vegetables and tofu to balance your meal.” I said.

“Okay, Mom.” He agreed.

He was more obedient since start, always agreeing to me.

“Soon we reached at one of Lucas’ favourite restaurants. It was Lena’s first time so she was more excited.

“Mom, Dad, are we really going to eat here?” Lucas was surprised.

“Yes, they make your favourite burgers so we decided to have our first family dinner here. I and your Mom have a news for you.” Logan said.

I was holding Lucas’ hand while Logan had Lena in his arms. She always ask him to pick her and he never turned her down.
