I didn’t know if I was feeling more angered towards Logan and Raelynn or myself.
Staring on the video clip, rewinding on every second online channels and on social media tags, the photo zoomed from different angle how Logan and Raelynn got cozy at the club, the way she kissed his neck.
He was the same man whose hands were touching me in the same morning. I felt disgusted.
“Don’t torture yourself when this is going to break you more.”
Kelly, who came to take the empty cup, advised me.
“I am not breaking, Kelly. This is actually the reminder that I must remember the limit I had set and I shouldn’t be trespassing it.” I replied closing the laptop and ran my fingers through my hairs.
Her gaze was full of sympathy towards me but she pressed a smile.
“I hope everything will be resolved between you and Mr. Wilferd soon, Ma’am. Your family is perfect and Ms. Raelynn’s entry will only lead to Mr. Wilferd and Logan’s happiness.” She expressed her wish.
“Kelly, it wasn’t a family from the beginning but an oblivion. The time has come when I have to put an end to this temporal settlement and let Logan be with the right person. She is right for him.” I told her with an empty smile.
She opened her mouth to say something again but the sudden commotion interrupted us.
“Tessa…”
A disheveled Logan entered the room, his eyes met mine and fear was all I could see in his eyes.
“Kelly, can you give me a moment alone with my wife?” He politely asked Kelly to give us some privacy.
She nodded and left leaving us alone.
I kept my gaze on the table because his presence upset me even more.
“Tessa, it was..” He paused and it seemed like he was trying to debate with himself, “It wasn’t what exactly happened there. The photos are ridicu-”
“You don’t have to explain anything to me because whatever you’d say, you’ll repeat it again. So, let’s put end to this.” I said and about to storm past him but he grabbed my wrist.
“Tessa, you must believe me. I went to the club with my cousin. Raelynn was already there with her friend and she was drunk. Whatever happened, it wasn’t intentional and I hadn’t initiated or encouraged it. You can ask my cousin if you can’t believe me.”
He said in a low voice. He sounded desperate to prove his innocence.

“Logan, if you’re being honest then why doesn’t it occur to you that Raelynn is damaging your image, your confidence and still you’re blindly following her? I am not at loss, but it’s you.” I gave him a piece of advice I knew he’d not listen.
“Are you sad?”
Honestly, I didn’t expect this question to come from him.
He released my hand but only to hold my arms. For the first time, I saw that my emotions mattered to him.
His eyes were soft and waiting for my answer.
“Does it really matter to you how I feel?” I asked him back.
“Yes.”
His reply came instantly. A single word but it made my heart almost burst with overlapping emotions.
“If Raelynn has done it intentionally this time, will you hold her accountable for damaging your reputation?” I asked him.
“I have already talked to her and she’s guilty about it. I can’t blame her because she was very drunk and perhaps did it because her senses were numb due to high intake of alcohol.” He replied.
