PART–058
Tessa
“I love you, Mommy.” Lucas kissed my cheek.
“Mommy loves you too, Lukie. Now go or your teacher will scold you.” I patted his head as he was about to enter inside the gates of the school.
“Are we going to the beach in the evening? Please, don’t break the promise like last time.” I asked me for confirmation.
“Yes, Lucas. I promise we won’t ditch you this time.” I pinched my throat to symbolize my promise.
Last time, after our heartfelt moment, we decided to go to the beach but Kevin felt sick so we had to visit him in that evening. After that both I and Logan got busy in our respective works.
It was Friday and we had the weekend to find family time for Lucas‘ sake.
Parenting for me and Logan became like walking on egg shells ever since we told Lucas the truth about Raelynn. It was too harsh for a small kid but he took it patiently but his clinginess doubled. He didn’t let me go of his sight.
I felt lighter because hiding the truth from him was also wrong.
Upon reaching office, I was greeted by my assistant we got to workshop because I had to wrap up two days‘ work so I could be free for my family.
I and Logan still found it awkward to talk in Lucas‘ absence because there were unsaid questions and doubts still lingering between us.
“Tessa, what’s the deal? You seem off.” Ruby’s voice forced me to look at my friend.
I shook my head.
“No, it’s just fatigue that I have been feeling for a few days.” I said and it was true.
My body ached for last three or four days. I felt sleepier and my head felt heavy.
“Did you see a doctor? It could be a viral infection.” She asked with concern.
“No, I think I’ll be fine because I got little rest since Logan’s accident.” I jumped on my own
conclusions.
“But you look dull means your health isn’t good.” She again pressed but we were interrupted by a work call.
“We have got the venue for the dates of our first show, Ruby. We’re going to organize our first show at the Wilton Square.”

I beamed with excitement because it was hard to get reservation at one of the iconic places in the country for fashion industry but after two weeks‘ hard work and never ending negotiations, I finally received their confirmation.
“Oh, wow! You did it, Tessa. It’s time for celebration and we all are going out for lunch. It’s final.” Ruby gave me a hug and our whole team applauded for me.
“Let’s finish these stiches and then we’ll head out for a nearby place because we have to get back to work.” I reminded Ruby.
“Alright, Boss. The party is from you so you can decide the place. I’ll ask Adrian to join us if he’s free.” She said and I remembered that we hadn’t talked much in last one week
“I have shortlisted the models for the show. Can you check the list and see if I am missing any good name.” I asked her for the favour because she had better knowledge of the modelling industry.
“Mail me the list and I’ll check it tonight.” She said.
Later in the afternoon…
“Congratulations, Tess. I am proud of you because getting a reserved date at Wilton Square isn’t easy. You did it without pulling any strings or buttering. I can see a bright future for you.” Adrian, who joined us, congratulated me with a bouquet of lilies, my favourite flowers.
“Thanks, Adrian for giving me this chance. I can never forget this. If it wasn’t your encouragement and this opportunity, I would have never come this far.” I expressed my gratitude.
“You deserved it and I couldn’t let this talent artist work for someone else.” He patted my shoulder.
“Come on, guys. Stop praising each other like it’s a farewell party.” Ruby rolled her eyes. “Let’s toast for our young boss.” Adrian said and rose his flute.
We cheered and when I smelled the alcohol, I felt like throwing right there.
“Are you okay?” Adrian took my glass and asked me worriedly.
“I am fine, it just the smell made me sick. Sorry, guys but I don’t think I can drink.” I apologized to everyone and they understood.
The lunch also served and all the foods which were normal, still made me want to puke except the salad which I ate quietly because I didn’t want others to stress.
After the lunch when everyone was heading back to the office, I excused myself to use the restroom and once I was inside, I finally threw up all the content I ate,
