Beatrice covered her face with her hands. "Brooks, even if it costs me everything I have, I'm going to get your sister cured."
Brooks almost laughed at the absurdity of it. What exactly did she have left to lose? What did the Lane family even have? Juniper was clearly tight with Eleanor Saint. If the old lady just pulled a few strings, Juniper could easily marry into high society. His mother really thought too highly of herself.
He kept his cynical thoughts to himself, choosing not to say a word.

Ever since she got home that morning, Juniper had been in a deep, exhausted sleep.
A constant, pulsing ache radiated from between her thighs. She had put her hearing aids back in and could hear the sounds of the outside world, but she didn't want to listen to any of it.
Fighting through the crushing fatigue, she dragged herself into the shower and then collapsed right back into bed.
By late evening, the pain was still sharp. She sat up and rubbed her face, feeling the intense heat radiating from her skin.
She changed into fresh clothes and headed to The Willow Creek Studio to hand over the Graff diamond bracelet she had taken from Cecilia.
She priced it at $150,000, even though the current market value was over $300,000. Just as Cecilia had predicted, the moment a preview photo went up on the studio's official social media, it would cause an absolute feeding frenzy. Whoever bought it was saving over a hundred and fifty grand. It had full certification and had never even been worn.
Selling it at that price was essentially giving money away.
The rest of the studio team was completely stunned. "June, where on earth are you finding these VIP clients?"
Juniper forced a faint smile. She looked incredibly haggard and let out two rough coughs, clearly fighting off a fever. "Post it on our Insta account. Make it the finale piece for tomorrow's consignment sale. It should drive a lot of traffic."
The moment the bracelet was posted, a dozen comments flooded in instantly.
"Are you serious?"
"You can still check the market price for this. It's this year's new release, over $300k. And you're selling it for $150k?"
"Is this a joke? How is this any different from just throwing money out the window?"
"Is it a knockoff? Did the studio forget to label it as a replica?"
"Are you blind? You can clearly see the official engravings. The certificates and the original box are all there. The original owner even stated they bought it for over $300k. This is probably some loaded socialite showing her support for Willow Creek Studio."
"Just forwarded this to my high-roller client. She said she's definitely logging on to snatch it tomorrow night."
The view count on the post broke ten thousand in minutes and quickly surged past a hundred thousand.
