For the next week, she juggled setting up her studio and helping out with appraisals at Caleb's auction house. Every spare moment was spent at the clinic visiting Moonlight.

It was a highly reputable clinic, and after just a week of care, Moonlight was already looking much more energetic. Whenever she saw Juniper, she would stand up and bark happily, her tail wagging a mile a minute.

Juniper would instantly forget all her stress, crouching down to play with the puppy, her eyes curving into a bright smile.

The vet walked over. "She has a very strong will to live, so she's recovering incredibly fast. She probably knows she found a good owner this time."

"Dad, is Leo really going to be okay?"

Josie was holding a cat that looked noticeably lethargic.

The cat had been a gift from Nelson a week ago. She loved it and talked to it every day after school, but today it seemed entirely drained of energy.

Nelson looked up and immediately spotted Juniper crouching nearby.

Josie carefully handed the cat to the vet, her tone serious. "You have to make Leo better."

The vet smiled at the little girl's earnestness. "Don't worry. It doesn't look like anything major. Probably just constipation from not drinking enough water. I'll take a look."

Josie, still wearing her little backpack, nodded.

She had rushed here before even dropping her bag at home. The moment she realized her cat was sick, she panicked and called her dad.

She turned to speak to Nelson, only to see him walking toward someone nearby.

Juniper had clearly heard their voices but pretended she hadn't, continuing to pet the puppy's head.
