He violently ripped the fabric of Juniper's shirt at the shoulder, leaning in to force a kiss, but was interrupted by a deafening crash behind him. The door to the hotel room had been kicked completely off its hinges.

In his desperate haste, he had forgotten to engage the deadbolt. He whipped his head around and met Nelson's murderous gaze. For a split second, Lucas froze in pure shock. In the next instant, he was hauled up by his collar and violently hurled off the bed.

Juniper curled into a tight ball on the mattress, her hair disheveled. Through the tangled strands, she quietly watched Lucas take a brutal beating.

Nelson never held back. A few vicious punches nearly knocked Lucas unconscious.

Terrified, Lucas immediately began begging for mercy.

But at that precise moment, Juniper slipped off the bed, grabbed a fruit knife from the nearby table, and plunged it directly into Lucas's groin.

Lucas was still screaming in agony. For a man, this kind of pain was tantamount to being tortured to death by a thousand cuts. After screaming for a few moments, he passed out cold. The blossoming pool of blood at his crotch quickly soaked through the fabric of his pants.

Nelson only needed a single cold glance to know the man was permanently ruined. This was Lucas of the Thorne family. He had seen him a few times before but didn't know him well. Juniper had definitely crossed a massive line this time.

He quickly walked into the bathroom and heard her still dry-heaving.

He patted her back gently, his brow furrowed in concern. "Are you okay?"

Juniper's eyes were red and watery from throwing up. She rinsed her mouth and gripped the edge of the sink, looking utterly helpless and lost.
