He Lost Me to His Best Friend novel Chapter 1031

Franklin Flynn collapsed to the floor, practically foaming at the mouth in sheer, unadulterated outrage before passing out completely. Terrified, Melanie frantically shook his shoulders and splashed a glass of ice water over his face. After a tense moment, Franklin finally gasped for air, his eyes fluttering open.

"Dad, please, you have to let Mom and me explain. We were set up—"

*Smack!*

Before she could even finish her sentence, Franklin delivered a vicious backhand across her face. The force of the blow snapped Melanie's head to the side, a thin line of blood immediately trickling from the corner of her mouth.

"You... you two have completely disgraced the Flynn family!" Franklin roared, pointing a trembling finger at the disheveled mother and daughter.

"I... I..."

Franklin's chest heaved violently. He forced himself to steady his breathing before he passed out again. Yanking out his phone, he immediately dialed Yardley's number.

Across town at the Flynn Group headquarters, Yardley had just walked out of the annual corporate meeting. The financial reports the accounting department had just presented had left him absolutely furious. He had barely stepped into his office and hadn't even taken a sip of coffee when his phone rang.

"Dad," Yardley answered, taking a deep breath to compose himself.

"Yardley Flynn!" Franklin screamed into the receiver, using every ounce of his remaining strength. "Get your ass to Room 1101 at the Zenith Hotel right now!"

"Come see for yourself what kind of idiotic stunt your mother and your sister just pulled! This family is finished! You come here and clean up this mess!"
