The police arrived shortly after. Clarissa Flynn was taken straight into custody for questioning. Scarlett's spirits lifted, though her hands trembled as she gripped Stellan's shoulders. "Stellan, are you sure? Is Dawn safe right now?"
"Rest assured, she's safe for the moment," Stellan replied. "It's just..."
Scarlett's heart leaped into her throat. "Just what? Spit it out!"
"She was taken by Melanie Flynn and Sylvia Stetson. They brought her to a VIP lounge at a club. I'm worried the noise and the smoke in that environment will be harmful to the baby."
Scarlett was consumed by a sudden, blinding rage. So, the mastermind wasn't Clarissa after all—it was Sylvia and Melanie. Her eyes darkened with lethal intent. "Stellan, Talia. Let's go."
They didn't waste another second, speeding straight toward the club where the two women were partying. On the way, Scarlett received a frantic call from Jacqueline Langley, who was desperately mobilizing people to search for Dawn. Once Scarlett relayed that Stellan had tracked the baby down, Jacqueline finally breathed a sigh of relief.
Scarlett sprinted through the club corridors, making a beeline for the private lounge Stellan had pinpointed. She and Talia led the charge, with Stellan and eight of his imposing, suited men closely behind.
Without hesitation, Scarlett kicked the heavy lounge door open.
The room was dimly lit and choked with a noxious haze. The overpowering stench of alcohol, cigarette smoke, and heavy perfume filled the air. Men and women were drinking and partying wildly. At the sudden crash, the music seemed to stall as everyone froze, staring blankly at the entrance.

How could a baby vanish in such a short window?
"Sylvia! Where is my daughter? Talk!" Scarlett screamed, finally releasing her grip on the woman after beating her senseless.
Sylvia was dizzy and seeing stars. She dragged herself up into a sitting position, only for Scarlett to plant a heavy boot firmly on her chest, pressing her back down. Sylvia shrieked, her voice shrill and pathetic. "I... I don't know where she is! Let me go!"
Scarlett shifted her weight, grinding her heel directly into Sylvia's collarbone. The woman's scream pitched into a horrific wail of agony.
"I already have all the evidence of you orchestrating my daughter's kidnapping!" Scarlett roared. "The police are on their way! If even a single hair on her head is harmed, I will make you pay with your life!"
