"Mmph... mmph..."
Before she could even scream, a vicious chop hit the back of her neck, and she instantly blacked out.
When she came to, she found herself in a dimly lit room. Standing over her was a towering, broad-shouldered man, his eyes radiating a faint, lethal intent.
Terrified, she scrambled backward. "Who... who are you?"
With a cold, magnetic voice, the man pulled a phone from his pocket.
Even in the dim light, she immediately recognized it as hers.
"Password," he demanded.
The voice sounded familiar. She stared at him for a few seconds before the realization hit her like a truck. This was the man who was always trailing after Scarlett, running her errands. His name was... Stellan.
She hadn't had the chance to send the video before he knocked her out.
If she gave him the password and he deleted it, her entire night's work would be ruined.
Gritting her teeth, she spat, "I don't know."
He delivered a brutal slap across her face. His voice remained chillingly detached. "Do you know now?"
Seeing stars, she clutched her stinging cheek and shrieked. "You... you call yourself a man, hitting a woman?!"
Expressionless, he grabbed a handful of her hair.
"I don't see gender. I only see targets."
"If you don't give me the password, you aren't leaving this room alive."
His rough grip yanked at her scalp, causing an excruciating, blinding pain. She screamed in agony.
"It hurts... stop! Let go, I'll tell you, I'll tell you!"
Only then did he release her.
Staring at him, she quickly scanned the room, the gears in her head turning.
