He Lost Me to His Best Friend novel Chapter 334

Leah rushed upstairs in a panic, hastily pulling on her clothes. Pushing the door open, she was shocked to see Yardley collapsed on the floor, and even more shocked to see Sylvia right beside him.

Without time to overthink the bizarre scene, they quickly dialed for an ambulance and rushed him to the hospital in the dead of night.

By the time Scarlett got home, the sky was already beginning to lighten.

The lights were still on at the Magnolia Villa. When she pushed the door open, she was surprised to find the brightly lit living room packed with people.

Julian, Talia, Gordon, and Stellan were all there. Even Jacqueline hadn't gone to bed.

Worry was etched across everyone's faces.

They had been brainstorming how to deal with Yardley and get Scarlett out of his clutches.

They certainly hadn't expected her to walk back through the door, completely unscathed, before the night was even over.

Overjoyed, everyone stood up in unison.

Talia was the first to rush over, grabbing her best friend's hands tightly. "Oh my god, I thought that psycho was going to lock you up forever! I'm so glad you got away!"

Scarlett offered a faint smile. "His cheap tricks aren't enough to hold me down."

Seeing her unharmed and hearing her relaxed tone, Julian's tense expression finally softened. He stepped forward.

"As long as you're okay. I've never seen him act so unhinged. We were just about to call the cops, but Stellan stopped us, saying you had a way to handle it for now."

She looked at Julian, a hint of apology in her eyes. "I'm sorry, Julian. Tonight was supposed to be perfect, and I ruined it."

He smiled dismissively. "It doesn't matter. Your safety is what's important."
