Scarlett stared at him coldly, her voice ringing with sheer power. Every single word was a precision-guided dagger straight to his chest.
"You know exactly how I treated you over the past five years. It's your own blind ignorance. You refused to see the truth, chose to listen to lies, and constantly fought against me."
"Since you despise this child so much, and you're perfectly happy letting your family ruin her milestone celebration by throwing this filth around, then fine. I'll give you exactly what you want."
Scarlett abruptly turned to face the dumbfounded reporters, her voice projecting clearly to every corner of the room.
"Ladies and gentlemen of the press, since the Flynn family has taken it this far, I won't hide it either."
"That's right. Dawn is not Yardley Flynn's biological daughter. I gave birth to her, I will raise her, and I will guide her. I don't need the Flynn family's money, and I certainly don't need their judgment!"
"From today onward, Dawn is severing all ties with the Flynn family. Her last name is Langley. She is my daughter. She has zero connection to Yardley or his family!"
"As for the Flynn family's so-called 'profound humiliation'..."
Scarlett sneered, her gaze sweeping past a pale Yardley and a smug Melanie.
"Since the Flynns are so eager to air their dirty laundry and publicly claim the title of the betrayed husband, I'll generously let you have it. The child has nothing to do with you anymore. However, regarding the slander that took place today, I fully retain my right to pursue legal action."
Without sparing another glance at Yardley's devastated face, Scarlett bowed deeply to the media.
"Everyone, tonight's celebration is officially over. Please leave. I am taking my daughter home."
She turned and strode toward the VIP lounge.
Talia shook her fist at Yardley as she passed. "You blind, heartless idiot. Just wait. You're going to bitterly regret everything you did today!"
Talia spun around and followed Scarlett.
"Your mandatory waiting period before finalization of divorce in this country is up in just a few days. You need to sign those papers right away. You need to stay as far away from a woman like that as possible."
Sylvia was absolutely ecstatic.
Tonight was undoubtedly the highlight of her life. After feeling so oppressed for so long, she had finally crushed Scarlett completely.
She couldn't wait for tomorrow's headlines. She desperately wanted to see Scarlett's reputation destroyed, cursed and spat on by the entire city.
But suddenly, Yardley's hand shot out and clamped around her throat.
The grip was lethal, as if he wanted to snap her neck.
"Sylvia, tell me right now. Did you tamper with that DNA test?"
