He Lost Me to His Best Friend novel Chapter 473

Bang!

With a deafening crash, the door to the VIP suite was kicked open, slamming hard against the wall.

Scarlett's head whipped around.

The intruder was none other than Veronica Thorne, who had recently visited their studio to discuss a partnership.

Veronica was dressed in a tailored pale yellow power suit, her immaculate makeup doing nothing to hide the hostility in her eyes.

Flanked by two burly assistants, she marched in looking ready for a war.

Veronica stood with her chin tilted up, her gaze cutting and sharp, exuding a condescending arrogance.

Her predatory eyes swept the room and locked onto Scarlett and Julian. A mocking smirk curled her lips.

"I was wondering who managed to finagle their way into this private wing. So, it's you two again."

Scarlett was completely baffled. She had no idea why Veronica was suddenly attacking them, nor did she know what connection Veronica had with this hospital.

She instinctively looked at Julian, only to find he had already set down his utensils. His movements were slow and deliberate, radiating a chilling calm.

He stood up slowly, his tall frame effectively blocking Veronica's view of Scarlett.

"Ms. Thorne," Julian said, his voice terrifyingly even. "This is our room. Please leave."

Veronica looked him up and down, crossing her arms with a look of pure contempt.

"Oh? Leave?"

"Mr. Croft, I don't think you understand the situation. This hospital is part of my family's portfolio. My father is the second-largest shareholder of Mercy International. I'm afraid you have absolutely no right to tell me to leave."

Veronica truly knew very little about Julian.

"I am officially representing the hospital administration right now. Pack your things and move to the general ward immediately. Don't make me call security to drag you out."

Veronica had been itching for an opportunity to humiliate Scarlett and score points for the Flynn family.

She never expected Scarlett and Julian to practically deliver themselves to her doorstep.

She had no idea what strings they had pulled to get into this premium suite, but it didn't matter. Here, her word was law. She decided who was worthy of staying.

The sudden intrusion of this haughty heiress left Jacqueline and Elara completely stunned.

Once she snapped out of it, Elara was ready to stand up and put the girl in her place, but Julian shot his mother a warning look, silently telling her to stand down.

Without even sparing Veronica a glance, Julian calmly pulled his phone from his pocket.

He tapped the screen a few times, hit the speakerphone button, and tossed the phone back onto the table.
