"That was her?!" Talia's eyes went wide with exaggerated shock. "No wonder. That woman was stunning but totally obnoxious—just looking at her ticked me off. But Yardley certainly didn't seem to mind. He was practically all over her right out in the open."
"Wait... you don't think she's the same woman he was making out with at the hospital last time?" Talia suddenly connected the dots.
Scarlett had almost blocked that out, but Talia's reminder brought the memory flooding back. It made perfect sense.
The thought of Yardley not only keeping Sylvia around but also messing around with other women turned Scarlett's stomach. A wave of disgust and icy disappointment washed over her.
She led Talia to her daughter's hospital room.
Dawn was awake by now. Julian was holding her in one arm, keeping her entertained.
Scarlett had no idea where he'd learned this little trick. He was balancing Dawn's tiny body horizontally on his forearm.
Then, he brought one of her little feet to his mouth, pretending to play her like a saxophone while the famous tune "Moscow Nights" played from his phone.
From a distance, Dawn really did look like a tiny saxophone. Suspended on his arm, the baby wasn't scared in the slightest; instead, she was giggling uncontrollably at Julian's antics.
Zara stood nearby, recording the adorable scene on her phone.
A helpless smile broke across Scarlett's face. "Julian, where on earth did you learn that? You're going to break her if you keep doing that."
Seeing Talia walk in, Julian chuckled and lowered Dawn, gently passing her into Zara's arms.
"Our little Dawn is such a joy. She loves to laugh. You just play with her for a second, and she lights right up. She loves it when I do this. Zara couldn't get her to stop crying a minute ago, but the second I started playing with her, she was all smiles."
Scarlett could tell Julian genuinely adored Dawn.
And it wasn't just him. Elara and Dominic loved Dawn with all their hearts too. They frequently video-called just to check on her.
