He Lost Me to His Best Friend novel Chapter 581

"Gordon! It's Gordon!" Scarlett cried out, stumbling forward and lunging toward the stretcher.

Julian, Talia, and Chatwin heard her scream and immediately rushed over. Seeing Gordon covered in blood on the stretcher, their faces turned as pale as sheets.

Talia clamped a hand over her mouth, tears instantly spilling from her eyes. She couldn't even form a complete sentence.

On the stretcher, Gordon's eyes were squeezed shut. His face, usually adorned with a warm smile, was completely drained of color.

Blood poured from his temple, leaving his face a mangled, horrific mess, his features barely recognizable.

The paramedics rushed past, gesturing for them to clear the way. "The patient is critical! Severe blood loss! Step aside! We need to get him to the hospital right now!"

"We're his friends. Please, you have to save him! Make sure he's going to be okay!" Scarlett's eyes were bloodshot, her voice trembling uncontrollably.

The ambulance quickly sped off with Gordon to the hospital. Scarlett, Julian, and Chatwin hailed a cab and followed right behind.

On the way, Scarlett received another text from the unknown number:

[Thrilling, isn't it? This is just the beginning, Scarlett. I've prepared even more surprises for you.]

Reading the message, Scarlett felt an overwhelming surge of rage. She immediately dialed the number.

As soon as the call connected, she screamed into the phone, "Who the hell are you? I don't even know you! Why are you doing this?!"

"You bastard! If you have a problem, come at me! Leave my friends out of it!"

"Hahaha..." An exaggerated laugh echoed through the line. "Don't know me? Scarlett, do you really have no idea what you've done?"

The voice suddenly turned cold and mocking. "If you dare touch what's mine, you should expect consequences. Gordon was just an appetizer. The real thrill is yet to come."
