He Never Loved Me Until the Day I Finally Left Him novel Chapter 117

Helena finished getting ready before stepping out of the room.

The Butler spotted her in the hallway and immediately approached. "Breakfast is served, ma'am."

She nodded and took a seat in the dining room, eating her meal in quiet solitude.

No matter how terrible her appetite was, she forced herself to eat for the baby's sake.

It wasn't until her plate was clean and the restless fluttering in her stomach settled that she let out a quiet sigh of relief.

"I'll be heading out shortly. I won't be back for lunch," she informed him.

It wasn't that she felt obligated to report her whereabouts; she just didn't want to make his job difficult.

She knew better than anyone how terrifying Sebastian could be when he lost his temper.

She refused to drag another innocent person into her nightmare.

"Understood. I'll have the car brought around," the Butler nodded. "I'll instruct the bodyguards to accompany you."

"Okay," she murmured. Even though she hated being tailed, she didn't argue.

She knew this was Sebastian's way of maintaining control.

Honestly, she was just thankful he hadn't placed her under full house arrest.

He had left her a sliver of freedom within this gilded cage.

The Butler quickly made the arrangements and personally walked her to the front door.

Just as she settled into the backseat, he leaned in and spoke quietly. "Ma'am, if you wish to see your brother, you can have the driver take you to the hospital."

Helena froze, staring at him in disbelief.

Just last night, she had practically begged Sebastian to let her see Wynn.

And he had coldly refused.

Now, the Butler was giving her the green light.

He obviously wouldn't dare make that call on his own. These were Sebastian's orders.

She remained silent, momentarily at a loss for words.

"It was Mr. Hayes's instruction, ma'am. He really does care about you in his own way. It's just... he has a difficult temper, and he doesn't always express himself properly," the Butler offered, trying to smooth things over.
