He Never Loved Me Until the Day I Finally Left Him novel Chapter 160

Sebastian ignored her spiraling panic, mercilessly driving the nail deeper. "And when he finally flatlines, you can't blame me for pulling his funding. Once a patient loses the will to live, no doctor on earth can save them."

His psychological torture was so severe that Helena could barely pull air into her lungs. Sebastian stood there watching her hyperventilate, his face a mask of absolute apathy. It was incredibly jarring—just seconds ago, he was aggressively kissing her, and now, he was ruthlessly driving a knife straight through her heart.

It took her several agonizing moments to regulate her breathing enough to speak. "Do you get off on torturing me like this, Sebastian?"

"I absolutely do," he admitted without a second thought. "Because all I want right now is to see you on your knees, begging me. If you put on a good enough show, maybe I'll show you a fraction of mercy and fix everything for you."

It was a blatantly sarcastic offer, masquerading as a choice. But Helena knew she had no options left. It was either bow to him, or let Wynn die. And she could never abandon her brother.

"Isn't this what you've wanted for the last seven years, Helena? For me to pay attention to you?" he mocked, looking down at her like a god granting a peasant a crumb of bread. His eyes, however, were razor-sharp, calculating her breaking point.

Crushed under the impossible weight of his demands, Helena finally shattered. "Sebastian, please..." she whispered, bowing her head.

He let out a cold, utterly unimpressed scoff. "Your begging is pathetic, Helena. It absolutely kills the mood. Where's the sincerity?" he taunted.

She flinched, shrinking back in humiliation.
