However, the agonizing pain in her abdomen was very real. Stripped of the energy to speak, she simply lay there in silence.
Twenty minutes later, the Bentley screeched to a halt at the emergency entrance.
Beau immediately scooped Janetta into his arms and rushed inside.
Sebastian's car arrived seconds later.
Janetta grabbed Beau's lapel. "Beau, please... save the baby. I'm begging you..."
It was a heartbreaking plea.
Anyone hearing her would believe her love for this child was carved into her very soul.
"Even if it costs me my life, it doesn't matter. But the baby has to live. It's far enough along to survive now," her voice echoed with pure tragedy.
"Stop talking nonsense. You're going to be fine," Beau urged calmly.
But with the amount of blood, even he wasn't sure.
Beau ignored Sebastian entirely, rushing Janetta straight toward the awaiting medical team.
The doctors were already on standby.
Taking one look at Janetta, the lead physician's expression turned grim.
"Prioritize her life!" Sebastian shouted, charging into the room and staring the doctor down.
A moment later, Janetta was wheeled behind the trauma bay doors.
Only then did Beau turn around to face Sebastian.
Sebastian stood silently, his face an unreadable mask.
Without warning, Beau's fist shot out, slamming violently into Sebastian's jaw.
Sebastian stumbled back in shock but quickly recovered. Within seconds, the two men were locked in a brutal fistfight.
It was a raw release of pent-up aggression.
For both of them.
"That's why she stayed abroad all those years. She didn't even know if she was going to survive! It's not just severe asthma. She has a tumor in her brain. Because of its location, operating is incredibly dangerous. And now, the tumor is pressing against her optic nerve. The pressure has triggered a rare cornea condition—she could go blind at any second!"
Beau let out a harsh, mocking laugh. "Even with her pregnancy, the doctors begged her to terminate immediately. Why did she refuse? Because of you. You said you wanted a family with her, so she risked her life just to give you a child!"
Every word hit Sebastian like a physical blow, forcing him to take a step back.
But Beau wasn't done.
He ruthlessly twisted the knife.
"And look how that turned out. Are you happy now? In a storm like this, with a body as fragile as hers... Her doctors strictly forbade her from leaving Boston. But she was so terrified of losing you that she insisted on flying back. Nobody could stop her."
"..."
"And now? She came all the way back for you, and you leave her out in the freezing rain for hours! She's six months pregnant! Even a healthy person wouldn't survive that, let alone someone in her condition!"
Beau stared at him, his voice devoid of any warmth.
His gaze never left Sebastian, radiating pure, unadulterated fury.
