He Never Loved Me Until the Day I Finally Left Him novel Chapter 338

Helena's logic was air-tight.

She articulated every single point with absolute clarity.

She stared right at Sebastian, completely devoid of any hope that he would actually listen.

She was simply stating the obvious facts.

"You slammed her into a pillar. Are you denying that? Everyone in the hallway saw it happen," Sebastian countered, his jaw clenched tight.

"She came down to try and stop you. Every word she said, every second she was there—there were witnesses."

"If she was trying to set you up, don't you think someone would have noticed?"

His tone grew increasingly hostile.

In the past, Helena would have fought back fiercely.

But now, she just looked at him with an eerie, detached calm, entirely unfazed by his anger.

"Yes. I won't deny it. I shoved her," she admitted openly.

Sebastian fell silent.

Helena pressed on. "But I wouldn't have laid a finger on her if she hadn't brought up Wynn. She was physically blocking my path, and at the same time, she whispered to me that Wynn was dead."

Sebastian's face instantly shifted.

He dismissed it without a second thought.

"That's impossible. Wynn's crisis happened completely out of nowhere. How could she possibly have known? She's been at the Hayes Estate this entire time."

He shot her theory down instantly.

"Exactly. That's how she gets every single one of you to trust her. If what you're saying is true, how did she know Wynn was in danger? Even I hadn't seen Wynn yet, but she was able to tell me flat-out that he wasn't going to live much longer?" Helena countered, not showing a hint of fear as she stared Sebastian down.

For the first time, Sebastian had no immediate comeback.

Ever since the news broke about Wynn's sudden decline, Sebastian had his suspicions.

If no one had triggered him, Wynn wouldn't have relapsed so violently.

That was precisely why he had ordered Carter to investigate.
