In the past, Sebastian had ordered Carter to look into Janetta a handful of times.

But those investigations had never turned up anything substantial.

Now, completely out of the blue, he was ordering a deep dive into her history overseas.

Carter figured that Julian's public threats had finally managed to strike a nerve with Sebastian.

"Also..." Carter glanced at Sebastian cautiously. "The Civil Affairs Bureau is asking about the paperwork again. They can't stall your divorce indefinitely."
