He Never Loved Me Until the Day I Finally Left Him novel Chapter 606

"Didn't you all take photos last night?" Helena smiled, playing along with their insinuations surprisingly well.

Her easy cooperation caught the press off guard.

Anyone else in her shoes would be scrambling to explain.

Not playing into it.

"As for whether Mr. Hayes stayed over, shouldn't you be asking him?" Helena gave them a half-smile. "And as for my husband, of course he knows. The trust in our marriage goes without saying."

She didn't snap at a single reporter.

Yet every word was utterly poised and unambiguous.

The journalists froze, exchanging bewildered glances.

Helena gave a brief nod and confidently walked into The Hayes Corporation.

Then she saw Sebastian himself waiting in the lobby to greet her.

Given the massive size difference between IGM and his empire, he didn't need to come down personally.

His presence was a massive show of respect.

But since when did Sebastian Hayes respect anyone?

His gesture only fueled the media's wild speculations.

He had definitely heard her answers outside.

A deep, unreadable glint flashed in his lowered eyes.

Yet when he looked up at Helena, his expression remained perfectly neutral.

"You're here?" Sebastian asked smoothly.

"Mhm," she replied.

"Let's head up," he said coolly.

There was a massive crowd around them.

The paparazzi were still lurking right outside the doors like hungry wolves.

Yet Sebastian naturally placed his hand at the small of Helena's back. It looked intimate, though upon closer inspection, he wasn't fully touching her.

He was simply acting as a gentleman, guiding her through the space.

The onlookers fell completely silent as the group made their way to the elevators.

"And what about the background check I asked for?" Janetta's tone dropped dangerously.

"I looked into it. Her record is spotless," the assistant admitted honestly. "Ms. Ramirez, could her and Mr. Hayes really just be a rumor?"

The implication was that Janetta was being overly paranoid.

"Impossible!" Janetta snapped with absolute certainty.

She could feel the provocation radiating from Helena; it was clearly aimed at her.

But she had zero proof.

She also knew that Sebastian was emotionally volatile whenever it came to this new woman.

She flat-out refused to let this spark turn into a fire.

Her face darkened even further, thoroughly consumed by a suffocating jealousy.

The thought of Sebastian and Helena was like a poisoned needle plunging straight into her heart, leaving her anxious and insecure.

"We're going to The Hayes Corporation at noon," Janetta ordered grimly.

Her assistant froze. "But—"
