He Waited She Wilted (Ottilie and Yorath) novel Chapter 331

Marcella lost it. She lunged forward, brawling with Tanya. Even though she'd never worked a day in her life, she fought viciously. Tanya, having bottled up her emotions for years, erupted with terrifying strength. But Marcella's hatred ran deeper; she showed zero mercy.

As they fought, they hurled venomous insults. Marcella spat that Tanya had loved a man her entire life but never truly won his heart. Tanya fired back, mocking Marcella for the death of her child. They were twisting knives into each other's deepest wounds.

Perhaps knowing their mother desperately needed this release, the Fordham brothers didn't intervene. Finally, the police stepped in and pried them apart.

Marcella clung to Officer Vance's arm, sobbing uncontrollably. Like any heartbroken mother who had lost a child, she wailed about the injustice of it all until, overcome by emotion, she passed out cold.

Lyle rushed to her side, catching her before she hit the floor. He glanced at his brother. "Yorath, handle things here. I'm taking Mom."

"Watch over her," Yorath said, stepping forward with deep concern. "Don't let anything happen."

Lyle nodded, quickly escorting his wife, children, and his mother to the hospital.

Tanya and Quentin were placed under arrest. The house fell silent, leaving only a disastrous mess.

Yorath stood in the dining room, looking across at his father. To Ottilie, Lorenzo suddenly seemed much older; his posture wasn't as rigid, and the grey at his temples looked more pronounced.

"She gave you children. She dedicated her life to this family," Yorath said. "You shouldn't have pushed her to the brink."

Lorenzo remained silent.

Yorath didn't wait for a reply. He turned and walked out.
