Her leg was covered in cuts. When she fell, her leg scraped hard against the rough floor, leaving several bleeding wounds.
“Are you crazy? This looks bad-you need to see a doctor!”
“No need. I’m not as soft and whiny as you lot.”
Tyrone had a handsome face and his skin looked even more delicate than a girl’s. “You can’t ignore this. It might leave scars.”
He took out some ointment he’d brought and started to apply it to Sherry’s leg.
Sherry watched him closely, her eyes suspicious, as if he might be trying to harm her.
Tyrone sighed. “Do I seem like the villain here?”
“The way you talk in the group chat doesn’t make you sound like a good person. You seem to enjoy gossip too much.”
Sherry was in that group too. She had read all their messages.
Melissa had added her to the group back when they didn’t get along.
Tyrone always knew the latest news.
He would share something in the chat, get people arguing, then sit back and watch.
He really liked causing trouble.
Many of the rumors about her had started with him.
He had even helped spread them.
Just remembering this made her angry.
She stretched out her leg. “Fine. Go ahead.”
She had the same tough attitude as Gilbert.
Without thinking, Tyrone started applying the ointment like a lackey.
Halfway through, he suddenly realized what he was doing. “Did you just boss me around?”
He thought about throwing the tube away, but he didn’t like leaving a job unfinished, so he kept going.
Then he dropped onto the bed, crossing one leg over the other. “I did all that work. Hurry up—make me some food.”
Five years of being the family cook had left Sherry bitter. She was done. From now on, she wasn’t cooking

for anyone. “If you’re hungry, cook yourself. Don’t tell me you can’t.”
Tyrone brightened up. “Are you kidding? I was born to cook!”
He marched into the kitchen and started banging pots and pans.
Soon, three dishes and a soup were on the table.
He looked like a proud puppy. “See? I’ve got skills.”

After a whole day of chaos, Sherry was starving. The food didn’t taste good, but for some reason, she felt tears coming.
Her mom, her dad, her brothers, even her husband-
They had all cooked for other people. Not once for her.
Tyrone saw her eyes turn red and gave a smug look. “See? I’m chef material. So good it makes you cry. Let me taste-ugh! This is like poison!”
He ran to the bathroom and threw up for what felt like forever, like he’d lost a few pounds.
“Stop eating this. I’ll just order takeout!”
Before he could unlock his phone, Sherry’s phone lit up.
It buzzed like crazy, non-stop.
They both looked over at her phone.
It was Jean.
“You bitch! Sherry, you useless bitch! Mr. Bode really fired me. I knew you were trash. I made one small mistake and even said sorry. How dare you do this to me!
“Don’t you get it? You don’t deserve him at all. Why are you still clinging to Mr. Bode? I was just standing up for him-someone that amazing marrying a loser like you? I was doing what needed to be done!
“It’s not just me. Everyone thinks you don’t deserve him. How do you have the nerve to stay? Just because you cooked a few meals for him? You think that’s a big deal? Plenty of people did way more for him, and they don’t stick around like you, acting so shameless.
“If you know what’s good for you, get some self-respect and leave. Don’t wait for him to throw you out. The only one who’ll be embarrassed then is you.
“You’re a shameless bitch! Your whole family is trash!”
They could almost see her foaming at the mouth, like Sherry not getting a divorce would make her explode.
The messages were pure filth from start to finish.
