Chapter 191
Lil Lily frowned after reading the exchange list. “Why do they want all the precious things?”
Lydia sneered, “They even take souls. If you sell your soul, you’re as good as dead.”
Lina asked, “Should we go ask what the exchange rate is?”
Lyra shook her head. “No rush. Let’s watch how others do it first.” Lyra jerked her chin toward the window. “Someone’s going.”
Everyone followed Lyra’s gaze and saw a guy in gray walk up to the ticket booth, looking pretty annoyed,
He tapped on the window. “How many Park Coins for the bumper cars?”
The person inside slid over a price list. “Regular rides are ten coins, thrill rides are twenty, theater shows are thirty, and bumper cars are twenty coins.”
The guy in gray grumbled, “What, are you trying to rip me off?”
The ticket seller just smiled and held out a hand. “So, how many coins do you want to exchange?”
Lil Lily immediately turned to Lyra. “Goddess Lyra, is he really going to exchange?”
“I have no idea. Maybe,” Lyra replied.
The ticket seller pulled out a clear tube, with the other end plugged into a black box under the counter.
The guy in gray grumbled, “Ten coins. Draw my blood, then.”
The ticket seller smiled and pressed a button. “A liter of blood for ten Park Coins. Please confirm.”
“What?” The guy in gray’s expression changed. “Are you robbing me?”
The ticket seller pulled the tube back, his smile gone. “If you’re not exchanging, move aside. There are other customers waiting.”
The red-haired player behind him urged, “Hurry up! We only have half an hour!”
The guy in gray gritted his teeth and jammed his finger into the tube. “Exchange!”
The tube clamped onto his fingertip, and blood started flowing through the clear tube into the black box.
Lil Lily felt her scalp tingle. “A whole liter? Isn’t that dangerous? Something bad could happen, right?”
Sergei lowered his voice. “Losing that much blood will seriously mess up your ability to move. Back when things were normal, I never donated more than 400ml. And now, people aren’t as healthy as they used to be, this is just asking for trouble.”
Lydia said coldly, “This game is making people pay for tickets with their lives.”
With a loud clatter, ten red coins slid out from under the counter.
The guy in gray snatched up the coins, staggered, then made a dash for the exit.
Lina watched his retreating figure. “Is he even going to make it three hours?”
Lyra stayed silent. The guy in gray managed a dozen shaky steps before his knees gave out; he grabbed the railing to keep

himself upright. The other visitors hurried to avoid him, not wanting any trouble.
“Next,” the ticket seller called out.

The red-haired player stepped up to the window, looking even worse than the guy in gray. “Theater tickets are thirty coins. I don’t have enough blood, so I’ll pay with memories and emotions instead.”
The ticket seller slid over a sheet of paper. “Family memories are ten coins, friendship memories are ten, love memories are ten, childhood memories are twenty, professional skills are fifty, and each emotion is worth ten coins.”
The female player stared at the paper. “I’ll trade one memory of love, one feeling of fear, and one feeling of cowardice.”
“Please put your face here,” the ticket seller said.
She followed the instructions, and a red light flashed across the counter.
Three small white masks dropped down from above the window and pressed against her forehead. Soon, the masks/slowly shifted in color.
A few seconds later, thirty Park Coins clattered into the tray. The female player grabbed the coins and turned to leave, her face looking nothing like it did before.
Sergei glanced at the female player. “She traded away her fear and cowardice. She probably isn’t afraid of dying anymore.”
Lydia paused, thinking it over. Honestly, it sounded like a pretty sweet deal. She said, “Fear and cowardice, those are negative emotions. Maybe losing them is actually a good thing?”
Lyra noticed that everyone who exchanged for Park Coins ended up with a stamp on the back of their hand. Were they being marked? she wondered.
Lyra walked up to the window.
Lil Lily hurried after her. “Goddess Lyra, are you going to exchange?”
“No, just asking.” Lyra replied.
The ticket seller smiled and handed her the price list. “What would you like to exchange? Blood, flesh, soul, memories, or emotions?”
Lyra asked, “Does the ticket have to be paid for by the person using it?”
The ticket seller paused. “Anyone can pay.”
Lil Lily’s eyes sparkled. “So, visitors can pay for us to go on the rides?”
The ticket seller nodded. “As long as they’re willing.”

Lina jumped in, “So, visitors can give us their tickets?”
“Yes,” the ticket seller replied.
Sergei muttered. “There’s a way.”
Lyra asked again. “Is there any way to earn Park Coins without giving up anything?”
The ticket seller pointed toward the north side of the square. “Lost and found, temp work, or performing in the Masquerade Theater, all of those can get you Park Coins.”
Lydia narrowed her eyes. “Performing in the theater?”

Chapter 191
The ticket seller slid over a job notice.
[Masquerade Theater is hiring temporary performers.]
[Showtime: 2:30 PM.]
[Payment: 30 Park Coins after the show.]
Lina read it and immediately shook her head. “2:30 PM is when the hunt starts.”
Lil Lily whispered. “They only pay after the show. You have to make it out alive to get the coins.”
Lyra put the job notice back. “Where’s the lost and found?”
The ticket seller pointed to a blue hut by the flower bed. “Over there.”
The five of them turned to leave, but after just a few steps, they heard an argument break out behind them.
A player grabbed a drink from a visitor and yelled, “You people must have Park Coins! Give them to me!”
The visitor screamed.
Soon, two staff members in mascot costumes pushed their way through the crowd.
One was the Polar Bear Mascot, the other was the Fox Mascot.
The player raised her knife. “Get lost!”

The Polar Bear Mascot raised a hand and grabbed her shoulder. The player’s knife struck the mascot’s arm, but it didn’t
leave a scratch.
The Fox Mascot took the whistle hanging from his chest and blew it. Instantly, a black X appeared on the back of the red- haired player’s hand.
The next second, the player was bound with restraints and dragged toward the small door behind the ticket booth.
