Chapter 193
The Masquerade Theater was tucked away at the very back of the amusement park.

As the five of them walked through the food court, the smell of grilled sausages and popcorn mingled in the air Lil Lily’s stomach growled.
She quickly covered her stomach and ducked her head, acting like nothing was wrong. What was going on? She had eaten before coming into the game.
Everyone kept walking. Now that their countries all had plenty of food, they didn’t crave the game food like before.
Only Lina whispered, “Lil Lily, we don’t have any money to buy food right now. We’ll get some when we’ve earned enough.”
Lil Lily felt a bit embarrassed. “I’m not hungry. My stomach just growled on its own!”
Soon, they arrived at the theater. The building was made of white bricks, and a wooden sign hung above the entrance.
[Masquerade Theater: Today’s Performance]
[Play: Who’s the Wolf?]
[Showtime: 14:30]
(Actors Needed: 12]
[Host: Mr. Jester]
[Audience Seats: 30 Park Coins per person]
Lil Lily finished reading the sign and tilted her head. “Werewolf?”
Lina was looking too. “Twelve people acting, figuring out who the wolf is, with Mr. Jester as the host. Isn’t this just like the game of Werewolf?”
Lydia, her hammer slung over her shoulder, headed up the steps. “Let’s check it out.”
The theater was way quieter than outside. The sounds from the amusement park were left outside, and their footsteps made the wooden floor creak.
The audience seats were tiered, able to seat around two hundred people, but right now, every seat was empty.
On stage, a round table sat at the center, with twelve chairs placed around it, waiting for players.
“Welcome.” a sharp voice called.
A sharp voice rang out from the side of the stage, and Lil Lily instinctively ducked behind Lyra.
Someone stepped out from behind the curtain. It was Mr. Jester.
His face was painted white, his lips a bright red, but where his nose should be, it was just bare, no red nose at all.
Lyra instantly recalled the lost and found notice: “Return Mr. Jester’s red nose and get a regular attraction pass.”
Mr. Jester was dressed in a colorful striped suit, with an oversized bow tie around his neck. He spread his arms wide and bowed to the empty audience.
“Are you here to watch the show, or to join as actors?” he asked.

Lyra replied. “We haven’t decided yet. Could you tell us a bit more about it?”
Mr. Jester grinned from ear to ear. “Of course.”
He wobbled his head playfully. “Go ahead, ask away! Mr. Jester just loves answering questions.”
“What are the rules for Who’s the Wolf?” Lyra asked.
Mr. Jester clapped his hands, and a curtain dropped from above the stage, showing the rules.
[Show Rules: Who’s the Wolf?]
55 voucher
[Setting: In a peaceful town, four werewolves sneak in and start hunting down villagers at night. The terrified townsfolk pray for divine protection, and four gods descend upon the town, determined to root out the wolves.]
[Rules: At night, the werewolves pick someone to hunt. During the day, the villagers discuss and vote to eliminate one person. The gods have unique abilities to help uncover the wolves.]
[Good Team: 4 villagers, 4 gods; Bad Team: 4 hidden werewolves.]
[If the villagers find all 4 werewolves before the show ends, they win. If the werewolves kill all the gods or all the villagers before being found out, they win.]
[Actors who fail get eliminated.]
Lina stared at the last line. “What does ‘eliminated’ mean?”
Mr. Jester suddenly burst into wild laughter.
He kept laughing as he said, “Eliminated means you’re gone for good.”
Sergei muttered, “He means you die.”
Lyra didn’t rush to respond. She turned to Mr. Jester and asked, “Where do you get twelve actors?”
Mr. Jester pointed at the recruitment poster. “They’re all volunteers. It’s up to the guests if they want to join in. Totally immersive.
Lydia cut in, “What happens if you don’t get twelve volunteers?”
Mr. Jester’s smile didn’t change, but his voice dropped a notch. “Then Mr. Jester will fill in the missing spots himself.” That line made all five of them fall silent. Fill in? With what? Who, or what, did he mean by that?
Lyra’s gaze swept across the twelve chairs on stage, then settled back on Mr. Jester. “Do the actors know their roles?”
Mr. Jester pulled a stack of cards from his pocket and fanned them out. There were twelve cards, all with black backs, and the fronts were hidden.
“Once you sit down, everyone draws a card. Your role is written on it,” Mr. Jester said, tucking the cards back into his breast pocket. “Only you know who you are.”
Lyra stared at the edge of the black card peeking out of his pocket. “Do the werewolves know who the other werewolves are?”
Mr. Jester snapped his fingers. “Of course! When night falls, everyone shuts their eyes, except the werewolves. They open theirs and recognize each other. Only the good guys are left in the dark about who’s who.”
It’s just the usual Werewolf rules. Lina leaned in and whispered to Lyra, “This is exactly how the board game works, just didn’t mention which version we’re playing.”

Lyra nodded, then turned to Mr. Jester. “If the show fails, does everyone get eliminated, or just the ones who voted wrong?”
Mr. Jester grinned, his red lips stretching into a wide arc. “Everyone!”
He dragged out the words, “Even if you’re a villager, even if you voted right every single time, if you don’t catch all four wolves in the end, your entire faction gets eliminated, no exceptions!”
Sergei frowned and glanced back at the theater entrance. Outside, sunlight still streamed in, and the distant laughter of children echoed, but Mr. Jester’s words sent a chill down his spine.
