Yvonne finished speaking and lowered her head completely. She truly hated being the one to deliver this message to her boss’ wife.

Liana was silent for only a few seconds before giving a fint smile. “Got it. Thank you for coming all this way.”

Yvonne looked up at her, then lowered her head again in apology.

Liana had nothing more to say. She knew Yvonne was just the messenger and didn’t hold it against her. “I’ll grab my phone and coat.”

Yvonne waited by the door, not entering.

Theo was still sleeping soundly, having had a peaceful night.

Liana picked up her coat and phone. Before leaving, she couldn’t help but pause by the bed for one last look

at Theo.
