His Hidden Family My Ruined Marriage (Liana) novel Chapter 161

Chapter 161 The Ring Is Lost?

Elian glanced at Liana. He’d intended to brush off the question, but instead found himself telling Anya the truth.

Liana looked at him in surprise, not expecting him to be so blunt with Anya. But she quickly averted her gaze.

It doesn’t matter now. The marriage is ending.

“I see. Theo and I will have breakfast then. May we reserve you for lunch?” Anya’s reply was polite and understanding.

“Mhm.”

Elian hung up and fixed his gaze on Liana. “It’s been a while since I’ve had breakfast cooked by you, Ms. Keane.”

He suddenly remembered coming home to her in the kitchen, preparing dinner. She was good at everything she did-her classes were always top-ranked her cooking, while not five-star chef level, somehow made those chefs seem inadequate in comparison. And the house was always immaculate.

He never did housework. Frankly, he’d never had to.

He knew how to cook a few things, but after being with her, he found he actually enjoyed being in the kitchen with her.

So this morning-maybe-they could still make breakfast together?

“I’ll not be cooking breakfast for you ever again,” Liana replied, moving to open the door and usher him out.

She didn’t know what he was thinking, but she refused to dwell on the past.

There were some documents at home she

didn’t want im to see; she needed him to leave first.

“What’s the reason?” Elian blocked the doorway.

Liana glanced at him. Seeing he truly didn’t get it, she reminded him, “I’ve already paid you back for my mother’s medical bills.”

“Medical bills?” Elian frowned slightly at the mention, en asked seriously, “I thought you learned to cook because I’m your husband.”

“Of course, you being my husband was a major reason. But you won’t be that for much longer. So, ultimately, there’s no reason for me to cook for you anymore,” Liana agreed, her voice catching before turning cold and final.

A strange discomfort settled over Elian’s face, a sour taste in his mouth.

“I thought I made everything clear that night on your birthday,” he said, trying again.

“Made what clear? That I wasn’t just Anya’s replacement Liana took a step back, facing him squarely.

“I told you about Theo. I didn’t hide it on purpose.”

She shot back, “Hiding is hiding. What do you mean by not on purpose?”

“Even if I was wrong about that, is it worth ending our two-year marriage over?”
