His Plump Mate (by Buchanan) novel Chapter 106

Chapter 106

“Thank you, Reid. I appreciate you helping us.”

“That’s not all. Do you know the reason why Rising Moon is so tight lipped about our pack?” He asks.

“From what I understand, you are selective about who you let in. Renz said something about a healing spring that he found in his research.” I said.

“There is no healing springs. Centuries ago we were favored by the Moon Goddess. She blessed our warriors with special gifts. It’s dependent on the individual what the gift will be. As part of the bloodline, Rebel also as special gifts. According to you, she is a fighter. This is probably why she is so good. She is blessed by the Moon Goddess because she is a part of our blood line.” He said.

“So the being a lie detector and bringing entire groups of warriors to their knees is her gift?” Then it hits me, The marker in her blood, it’s getting stronger. We don’t know the full ability of her gifts yet, do we?”

((

“Exactly. It’s been suppressed by Harris. I think he may have known about the blood line and ability. Of course, that is my own speculation. We won’t know more until we speak to him ourselves.” Reid says, “At some point though, I would like for you and my granddaughter to come to Rising Moon. We can help her bring out all of her abilities there. But for now, it can wait until everything settles.”

“We will find out more when councilman Elias brings Harris here.” I say and then I start asking questions, “I am not opposed to my mate having her full abilities either, so I think going to your pack will be helpful for her. The warriors coming all have abilities as well then?”

“Yes. In our pack, if you are not a warrior, you are unaware of these abilities. It is a pact made with the Moon Goddess. So you along with your warriors are sworn to secrecy. If the secret were to get out, we will lose favor with the Moon Goddess. I say this, because your pack accepted Rebel as their Luna. The blood line flows within them. I’m not sure, but your warriors may receive the Moon Goddess’ blessing as well, though I’m not sure yet. In all the centuries that we have kept our secret, the blood line has always stayed within Rising Moon. The fact that Rebel’s fated mate is outside of the pack is unprecedented.” He tells me with a hint of concern in his tone.

I’m dumbstruck. Rising Moon is favored by the Moon Goddess herself. She gives the warriors gifts but not everyone. I can understand it though. She wants her favored pack to remain strong and safe. Now I wonder if Blackstone is favored by the Moon Goddess as well. What did I do as Alpha to gain this kind of favor? I have to keep everything a secret and I will have to make sure the warriors do too.

“I assure you Reid, I will see if the warriors and ranked members present with any newfound abilities. If they suddenly have one, I will know and I will ask you into the conversation to help explain as I’m still trying to wrap my head around what you are telling me. I will make a blood pact with the warriors to swear them to secrecy so the Moon Goddess’ blessing does not affect your pack either.”

“Because they have the blood line in them by accepting your Luna, we need to tell them now. We need to swear them to secrecy quickly. This means they cannot even tell their mates or children, friends, family members, or anyone else. It can only be discussed with other warriors and leadership within the pack. There must be a place that is sound proof from the outside where conversations and the swearing in can take place. I’m happy to help you create a space like that, if you like.” Reid offers.

“I would, thank you Reid.”

“Once my warriors are here, I will have them surround your training facilities and guard your borders so we can

have the meeting with everyone at once. Once the pact is complete, then we will wait to see who gets gifted.” Reid the adds, “Rebel will need to be there for the pact, since we will need her blood for the pact.’

“Okay. We will wait for Rebel then.”
