“Sounds like a plan. I don’t like the hospital food very much.” I say pouting.

Austin chuckles, “Yeah, hospital food isn’t very tasty. Come, let’s go.”

We finished eating and head to the training facility. Every warrior is there and so is Renz, Jessup, Lacey and Jane. The leadership team are also warriors, so they will be a part of this pact as well. Everyone is standing outside and waiting for Austin and me to arrive. They have curious looks on their faces. Boy, oh boy, I bet they are going to get the shock of their lives.

Idly, I see the Rising Moon warriors. They have a regal look about them. Like they know their importance and embrace every aspect of their responsibilities. I know our warriors are strong fighters, but there is something stoic about Rising Moon. I wonder if our warriors will become this kind of stoic as well.

As we continue walking, I notice Blackstone warriors are following behind us as we walk inside the training facility. Oddly, I don’t hear the birds chirping or the kids laughing and playing anymore. Everything is very quiet. Austin did say that my grandfather would made everything soundproof for this meeting.

After everyone comes in and the doors are closed, I see Renz, Jessup, Lacey and Jane come to the front of the crowd. Once we were sure that we were not missing anyone, we began our meeting.

Austin taking lead started by informing everyone about my recovery. Apparently, much to my surprise, our warriors were worried about their Luna. I don’t know what I did to make such an impression, but I feel the love from everyone in the room. After he updated everyone on my condition, he started giving informing every one of my history and after some snarls and growls, all the warriors have been brought up to date on their Luna.

Then came the discussion of the history of the Rising Moon. Which Reid took lead in telling everyone about. After explaining that all of them could potentially have gifts and in order to know what those gifts are, they must enter a blood pact with me. However, Austin wanted them to ask any questions prior to moving forward with the blood pact.

The warrior Leo speaks up, “Does everyone gift the same gift?”

Reid responds, “Gifts given by the Moon Goddess tends to be individual but part of a cohesive whole that the pack will need to defend itself. We won’t know what those are until you complete the pact.”

Then Derick, another warrior, I remember him helping set up the smokers, “Will our Alpha and leadership have gifts too?”

“I suspect they will since they are all fighters in the pack. My leadership team was gifted, as was I and my mate.” Reid answered.

Questions continued for another fifteen minutes, before the warriors were satisfied. Then we started the blood pact. I cut my hand and Austin cut his. It felt very similar to the Luna Ceremony, except, this time, the words being spoken were very different.

As Austin stepped forward to do the blood pact first, my grandpa spoke the words of the blood pact, “Alpha Austin of Blackstone, do you swear to the Moon Goddess to keep the knowledge of the abilities She grants you in secrecy, only sharing with the other warriors within your pack and with the fighting ranked members within

your pack?”

As he sips the blood to complete the pact with the Moon Goddess, something incredible happens for everyone to witness. A mystical swirl suddenly wraps itself around Austin. I hear him gasp and then he stares out like he is still trying to understand what he just experienced. When his eyes land on me, he smiles, “The Moon Goddess has truly blessed this pack he announces. I will explain more, once everyone here takes the oath.”

Seeing what just happened to their Alpha, everyone is ready to complete the pact. I go next, and then Renz, Jessup, Lacey, Jane, and one by one, each of the warriors. It takes about an hour to complete but everyone is anxious to hear more from Austin.

He looks at Reid and asks, “Are we ready?”

“Proceed Alpha Austin.” He answers with a knowing smile.
