“Okay, let’s see if we can get your pup on the screen. Then maybe we can see how far along you are, Luna.”

As she continues moving the wand around, she smiles widely, “They we are” as she points on the screen. There is a small circle within a larger dark circle.”

“What am I looking at?” I say.

“Well, this large darker circle is your womb or uterus, Luna. That is what holds your pup.” She explains patiently to me, “and this,” she says pointing at the smaller circle, “this is your pup.”

I sit there in awe. That little moving spot on the screen is my pup. Our pup. Austin’s pup. I feel myself crying again. I look over at Austin and his eyes are glistening with unshed tears. I feel so much love coming through the mate bond, that it’s almost overbearing. Almost.

“How far along is she Dr. Hadley?” Austin asks.

“Based on the size and the strength of the heartbeat, I would say almost three weeks, Alpha.”

Three weeks? I got pregnant pretty quickly then. I was already pregnant when I challenged him. I’m amused at the thought, but then the doctor’s expression changes.

“Hmm. Wait a second.” She says. Her tone has become serious. “Well, that would explain why you and your wolf are tired Luna.” She says.
