Austin POV

Elias told me he is bringing Harris to us today. Dr. Hadley just cleared Rebel. I’m ecstatic, because I plan to bury myself in her later, but for now, we need to get this issue with Harris done. The sooner we know the threats, the better.

Elias said he planned to be here by early afternoon. Looking at the clock, it’s about one in the afternoon. I suspect here will be here soon. I already saw to the cells for Harris’ mate and daughter. I also added additional security measures for the conference room. Rebel will be brought in after Harris is secured in the room.

‘Alpha, Councilman Elias is here and he has Harris and his family.’ Renz mind linked me.

‘Good. Remove his mate and daughter when you get to the cells. Then bring Harris to the conference room.’

I turn to Rebel, she is brushing her hair in the bathroom mirror. She looks beautiful. She is so much more confident and happy since coming here. That is what I wanted for her when I found her and found out about her past. I don’t want Harris to try and taint all the progress I’ve made with my mate. Especially, now that Rebel is pregnant with my pups.

“Darling, Elias is here with Harris. Are you ready?”

She stopped brushing her hair and looked at me. There is determination and nervousness in her eyes and body movement. “I’m ready.”

I reach out my hand to her and she lets me lead her out. “I am going to secure Harris in the room first, then I will come get you, okay?”

“Okay. I’m going to wait in your office then.” She says and kisses me quickly before walking towards my office.

I move to the pack house entrance just as Elias pulls up. I can hear yelling from the back of the van that Elias just stepped out of and it doesn’t sound pleasant. I mind link Renz to ask Reid to join us in the conference room as Harris has arrived.

The council guard opens the back of the van and Harris tries to jump out and attack the guard. The guard was quick to subdue Harris. “Harris, you are here in connection with a case regarding the neglect and abuse administered by you, your mate and daughter, towards Luna Rebel. If you want for your mate and daughter to be okay, I suggest you cooperate with us and stop fighting us, NOW.” Elias barked.

Harris tried to reign in his temper. “Fine. I don’t have any information for you though.”

I look at him and clench my jaw. I already know that Rebel will get the truth out of him. “Follow me to the conference room.” I say, trying to sound calm.

Once in the conference room, the guards secure Harris to a chair with silver infused rope on his hand, feet and chest. As soon as he is secured, I mind link Rebel to come down. I don’t want to leave this man alone to try to pull something with my guards. I know he is restrained, but I can’t be too careful.

Reid looks at me and shakes his head ‘no’ to confirm this is not the Harris he knows. This is not the Alpha Harris.

Rebel walks in and Harris starts growling. “Hey, you will regard the Luna of this pack with respect or we will beat it into you.” I snarl.

“Hello father. Are you really my father?” Rebel says as she sits down.

“Yes, and you are a sorry excuse for a daughter.” He grits out.

“Lie.” She says and a tear runs down her eye. Shit. We suspected as much, but it’s still hard for my mate to hear it be confirmed.
