Rebel POV

It’s been a couple of days since talking to Austin about questioning Harris. Today he is supposed to be brought here. My bruises have cleared and my wound has healed up nicely. I am waiting for Dr. Hadley to come and look me over. I am hoping I’m well enough to question Harris and get to the bottom of what he has done.

Austin walks back in from the bathroom. He showered while I was sleeping. The towel is hanging from his hips in that seductive way that sends an ache to my core. The last two days he has been caring for me and taking care of me, but he hasn’t touched me and my body feels wounds up tight with a want for release.

“Like what you see my little minx?” He says with a mischievous grin.

“If Dr. Hadley clears me today, I am going to take full advantage of you tonight, babe. Do you have any idea how sexy you are with your towel hanging that way?” I say honestly. I have no shame admitting that I am ogling my mate. I would do a hell of a lot more if I wasn’t recovering.

I get up and walk over to him and I already know I’m looking at him with lust. I can’t help it. I have been feeling incredibly needy lately. I look at him through the mirror and gently start caressing his body, “These broad shoulders with wet droplets on them, the shape of your back that looks like a triangle pointing all the way down to these incredibly hard abs and then there is the well-defined, muscular, Adonis belt that leads to a hidden treasure of the rest of this incredibly lower body.” I finish saying as my finger nails raked lightly on his body.

I hear a small groan escape his mouth. “I really hope the good doctor clears you, darling.”

I look at him watching me in the mirror and his eyes look hooded and full of desire. I smirk and I know there is some huskiness to my voice, “Me too.”

“I guess we will find out soon enough. Renz just said Dr. Hadley has arrived.” He said as he grabs me by the waist and kisses me deeply then goes to the closet to get dressed quickly. When he comes out, he has on some sweat pants and a fitted T-shirt that only makes him look yummier.

The knock on the door is heard and Austin goes to open it and let the doctor in, “Good morning doctor.”

“Good morning, Alpha. Good morning, Luna.” Dr. Hadley says, “Are we ready for the check up?”

“Yes, please.” I said.

“Very well, could you please lay back on the bed. I want to check the knife wound first.”

As I lay back, I feel good because I know the injury has healed and Roxie has rested and she said she was ready earlier. The doctor presses around the wound and then checks the incision to make sure it’s completely healed.” Very good. This was the most concerning injury for me. Your face has also healed. How are you feeling otherwise with the pregnancy?”

“I’ve been resting as instructed and eating to prevent the nausea. I’ve not had any cramping or pain. Roxie told
