Chapter 137
Rebel POV
After the pack cheered for Renz and Lacey and yelled out their congratulations on their pregnancy, we all sat to have breakfast. Renata was already seated and started hugging Lacey before she sat down. “Another pup. I’m going to have so many pups to spoil!” She says laughing.
The Omegas brought me my plate, but I am really craving pickles and peanut butter. “Do we have pickles and peanut butter?” I ask.
She smiled at me and said, “I think this is your first craving Luna. I will get you a small bowl of peanut butter and a small plate of pickles to go with your breakfast.”
She walks away after I thank her and I look over to everyone in the table. Austin is looking at me and I think his face is a little green. “What?”
“Pickles and peanut butter?” He asked.
“Yeah?” I said. What’s the big deal. It sounds like a great combination to me. Even if it is a craving, it sounds delicious.
“I think this pregnancy is going to get interesting and strange here pretty soon.” Austin said chuckling.
When I finally get the pickles and peanut butter, I moan at the taste. It is mouth wateringly good. It sounded good to Lacey too and we started sharing in my craving. Austin and Renz looked like they were going to be sick.
“After the doctor appointment, Lacey, Jane and I want to go to the mall and start buying pup stuff and maternity clothes.”
“That sounds like a good idea. You should definitely have some girl time. I will make sure your Luna guard is ready to go with you.” Austin says, “But for now, we need to go see Dr. Hadley.”
Renata asks, “Today is the day we find out the gender, right?”
“Yes. We are so excited.”
“Do you want boys, girls, one of each?” Jane asks.
“Healthy will do, but honestly, I would love to have one of each.” I say.
“One of each sounds good to me too.” Austin said, wrapping his arm around me. “But we need to go see the doctor to find out. Come on, darling.”
As we say our goodbyes, we walk towards the pack hospital, where Dr. Hadley is waiting for us. “Good morning, Alpha, Luna. Are we ready to see the gender of our pups today?”
“I can’t wait!” I exclaim.
“Okay then Luna, let’s get you in the room and with a gown on.” Dr. Hadley smiles.
After I change, Austin helps me get situated. He is smiling ear to ear and I know he is excited and anxious. He confessed to me, that he never thought he would meet his fated mate, let alone be a father, and now that he has both, he feels like his life has more purpose than before.

Chapter 137
+25 Bonus
When he leaves in the morning to work, whether in the mines or his office, he feels like it all has more purpose for him. He isn’t just providing for his pack, he is also providing for his family. Our family. There is something so incredibly sexy about him being a dad and mate and mine.
“What are you thinking about, darling?”
“I’m just thinking how incredibly sexy it is when you are being a dad, provider, mate, and ultimately, mine.” I say without an ounce of embarrassment or hesitation.
“Anything for you, darling. I will always be those things for you and our family.” He says giving me a loving kiss, just as Dr. Hadley walks in and interrupts the moment.
‘Later.’ I mind link him.
‘Definitely later.’ He replies.
“Okay Luna, let’s see how the pups are doing and then we will find out the gender.” Dr. Hadley says, as she puts the gel on my stomach and fires up the ultrasound machine.
As she starts moving around my belly, we immediately hear the strong heartbeat of one of our pups. “This one is developing well. Strong heart beat too. No abnormalities with the limbs or shape of the head. So let’s see if this is a boy or girl.” She says moving around.
I reach for Austin’s hand and squeeze gently. He is looking at the screen intently, trying to figure out what Dr. Hadley is looking for and failing to see it. I’m not worried though. Dr. Hadley always explains what she is seeing.
“There we go. First pup is a boy.” She says smiling kindly at the screen before getting some print outs.
“A boy.” He says smiling at me.
“A boy.” I say confirming.
I feel the pride that swells in Austin’s chest. I’m sure he is happy to have an heir. I’m happy our son is healthy and I am anxious about our second pup.
“Okay, first pup is a boy. Now let’s see about this second pup.” Dr. Hadley says as she starts moving around the other side of my stomach.
“Pup number two also has a great heart beat and seems to be developing well. Let’s see what we are having.”
Part of me is hoping for a girl, but no matter what, I am happy they are just healthy. I want to keep it that way too. I wait for the doctor to tell me if we are having another boy or if we are having a girl. Austin’s anxiety is going through the bond. The anticipation must be getting to him.
