Chapter 161

Rebel POV

I’m happy. Happy that this pregnancy is almost over. I swear my boys are determined to get their black belts in karate before they exit my belly. It’s especially fun when they kick my bladder. Speaking of bladder, I knew from all the reading I’ve done, that I would be using the bathroom more, but my goddess! I might as well move the bed to the bathroom. I spend more time in that one room than any other room of the pack house.

Don’t get me started with the swollen ankles I can feel but can’t see because of the oversized yoga ball sitting on my stomach. This of course is accompanied by the two large basketballs weighing in on my chest, making it impossible to breathe if I roll on my back when I sleep. It makes moving anywhere harder. I waddle like a damn duck. I am a she-wolf with a duck complex.

To sum it up, I’m feeling pretty miserable. Austin, bless his heart, is in love with the boys and smiles when he sees my swollen belly. He likes seeing me pregnant. He is constantly holding my belly and calling me the most gorgeous woman he has ever seen. I think he is just trying to make me feel better and not like some overweight monstrosity that feels like a beluga whale. He laughs anytime I try to get shoes on and then bends down to help

I feel like a toddler that can’t dress herself. It’s annoying. But, we are close to the end of this pregnancy. Meanwhile, Lacey’s still looks small and petite for a four month pregnancy. Jane isn’t far behind and she is having a son too. They both can still bend down and dress themselves.

“Darling?” Austin calls out from the bedroom. “Are you done getting dressed? Do you need some help?” 1

I grumble. Not because I’m mad, but because I do need help. I can’t clasp my bra in the back. Why do these maternity bras have a thousand freaking hooks? “Yes. I need help. My boobs won’t stay in the bra.” Gosh, I sound whiny. I am a freaking fighter and can level warriors, betas and alphas, when I’m not pregnant. But being pregnant is its own war.

I hear him laugh, “Well, I’m happy to hold them for you if you want, darling.” He says as he walks in behind me and grasps my breasts in his hand.

It sends a jolt to my core and suddenly I want to jump this man in our closet, right now. I hear him growl playfully but then he pulls back, “Later, darling. We need to go see Dr. Hadley.”

I pout my lips. “Fine.” I am aroused around Austin even when I am not pregnant, but being pregnant, good Goddess! The sex is so much more intense. Even with this big belly.

He chuckles again and kisses my forehead, “Let’s see if these guys want to come out and say hi, okay? If not, I am happy to flip you on your hands and knees, darling. You know I can’t get enough of you, especially when you look so sexy carrying our sons.”

I have been having some contractions over the last week. I think they are called Braxton Hicks, but if the real contractions are anything like those or worse, I’m going to be going through a lot of pain. Renata says giving birth is beautiful and painful, but it’s the kind of pain you remember but forget how it feels. I’m not sure I agree with her, but I guess I am going to find out sooner or later.

“Have you heard that Lacey and Renz picked out their daughter’s name?” Austin asked.

“No! Lacey didn’t tell me.” I said frowning.

“Don’t feel bad, darling. I don’t know it either. They are leaving it a surprise. But they are decided. Have you decided on your name for the first pup?”

“Yes and it starts with an “A” like you.” I answered.

“I have mine picked out too, with an “R” as you told me to do.” He replied.

“What did you choose?” I asked.

“Let’s head to the appointment and we can talk about it on the way.” He says as he scoops me up in his arms. I’m much heavier now, but to him, I’m no heavier than a feathered pillow. It’s okay though. I like snuggling into him when he holds me in his arms like this.

“Hmm…okay.” I said, inhaling his scent.
