Chapter 193

It’s ve faded. She has been keeping a low profile at the council, so as not to draw attention to herself or injuries.
Every night, we go over the layout of the underground tunnel system. We have toured it and I have been busy committing to memory every nook and cranny of the place. We have gone over the plan at least three hundred times. I have been busy making tweaks to my potions, so I can completely subdue both Austin and Rebel. It has been great having an ally this time around who is helping me think through every situation.
“Morgana, I want to be able to use Austin as many times as I want until I get bored with him. You are putting things in the potion that could send him into overdrive, and not in a good way. He can become feral if you overdo the dosing. You need to cut back on the testosterone enhancers.” Liora advised.
“Relax, Liora. He won’t become feral because he will be tied up in silver. And if he does become feral, I will just throw Rebel in his cage and let him destroy her. Until that needs to happen, have your wicked way with him.” I smirked.
“I know you are proficient in potions, but your hand is getting too loose with some of the ingredients. If something goes wrong, then I can be injured again or worse. I’m helping you out, but you are putting me at risk. If you want me to continue helping, then tighten up on the potion. I just need him to be aroused. I will handle the rest.” Liora insisted.
“Fine. I only wanted to give maximum pain to Rebel by using him.” I said.
“I understand. Don’t do it at my expense though.” She says as she walks away to her room.
Honestly, she is making a big deal out of nothing. He is an Alpha. She will have a better experience with him in that state than without it. I go back to making the potion. It will be fine. She is worrying for nothing.

Austin POV
After the doctor visit and getting the licorice root, I have taken it every day and I’m starting to feel back to normal. What is definitely different is my mate. This pregnancy is definitely different this time. When she was pregnant with the boys, she didn’t have morning sickness and she still had energy, despite Kaden and Cullen injuring her.
This time around, she has morning sickness every morning. She is passing out early from exhaustion, and her neediness for me has gone to zero percent. We go back to Dr. Hadley today to discuss what we can do about the morning sickness and her energy. I worry about her because of her past condition with food and energy.
Dr. Hadley and Dr. Higslee have been spending a lot of time together coming up with an aerosol version of his witch potion. I had no idea that Rebel found a remedy to suppress a witch’s magic. When she and I spoke about it at length, she told me that she hasn’t finished reading that book yet and wants to do that this week.
Stefan also went back to the central council. He has had eyes on Liora all week and went back to continue watching her. There has also been plain clothed guards keeping watch of her movements. So far, everything

seems normal, except at night, when she visits and old house. The guards say it looks abandoned, but when try to follow her, she is gone. They think she is opening a portal there and they don’t know where she is going.
Rebel and I hope to head there this week, but we wanted to make sure I was recovered and Dr. Higslee could get the potion working. Plus, now I am more worried about going with Rebel, now that she is pregnant. She made a valid point though. She said every time we are separated, something happens and then one of us is saving the other. When I looked back, she is right, so, I broke down and agreed for her to come.
I look at my beautiful mate, still sleeping. I cuddle up beside her and nuzzle her neck. “Darling, wake up. We need to get ready for Dr. Hadley.”
“mmm…” she moaned.
I chuckled, “Baby, we need to get going. I let you sleep as late as possible. You need to get ready.”
“Fine.” She says getting up. Then instantly her face looks pale and she runs to the bathroom.
I follow behind her and hold her hair back. “Better?”
“Why is your pup making things difficult for me?” She grumbled. Clearly, she is awake now.
“Our pup, darling.” I said smirking. “Come, let’s get ready.”
I managed to get Rebel to eat some toast with honey, and drink a cup of tea. Hopefully, that will settle her enough to make it through the appointment.
We walk over to the pack hospital and I can tell Rebel’s energy is waning. “You okay, darling?”
“I’m just feeling weak, Austin. I can’t keep anything substantial down and I think I’m depleting.” She says.
I take that as my cue to scoop her into my arms and carry her the rest of the way. As soon as we get into the hospital, Dr. Hadley looks at us and calls to the nurse to bring in an IV bag. “You’re dehydrated, Luna. We are going to get an IV started and then we are doing bloodwork.”
