Rebel POV

After the visit with the Dr. Hadley, which was way longer than I expected, I am feeling a lot better. I was dehydrated and vitamin deficient in quite a few things. The doctor also gave me a shot version of nausea medication and then prescribed me the pill form. Once I was feeling settled, Dr. Hadley, had food sent to me in the room and I was finally able to eat. Better living through modern medicine, and it is incredible.

Now that I am feeling better and Austin looks like he can finally breathe after watching me suffer for almost a week, we decide to go to Dr. Hadley’s office to find out about the latest on the aerosol potion with Dr. Higslee. As we enter the room, we Dr. Higslee standing over Dr. Hadley’s shoulder, looking at her laptop screen. He has almost a protective stance over her and I keep wondering, what is the story.

“Good afternoon, Alpha, Luna.” Dr. Higslee says, “How are you feeling, Luna?”

“This is the best I’ve felt all week. Thank you.” I replied kindly, “We are glad the both of you are here. We wanted to ask you about the potion. Were you able to make it into an aerosol?”

Dr. Hadley looks at both Austin and me, “The short answer is, yes. However, we are still trying to figure out how long the effects will last.”

“Well, that’s great news!” I said excitedly.

Austin then asks, “How close are you to finding out the duration of the effects?”

“Well, we are just reviewing our latest findings. I feel pretty confident that is has a twelve-hour window.” Dr. Higslee says.

I look at both doctors and then Austin. “I can make that work. How long does it take for the effects to work?”

“Considering this will be topical and inhaled, I think we can cut the fifteen-minute timing to about five to seven minutes.” Dr. Higslee said thoughtfully.

That is drastically better. I lean forward and with some excitement, “Okay, so here is the plan then…”

After finishing our discussion, I ask Dr. Hadley, if I’m able to travel to the Central Council. She was adamant that I need to take medication and keep fluids up while I’m out and as long as I did that, she would clear me. She also made it a point to schedule me another appointment for a week from now, while I was in her office.

After that was all done, Austin and I grabbed our guards and gave our boys a kiss goodbye and we headed to the Central Council. It’s going to be a long journey, so we will be arriving to our hotel late. We packed up food and a lot of water and ginger ale for the trip and head off.

At some point, I doze off. Car journeys are tiring to begin with and we are about halfway through when I wake up. Austin is looking at me, love in his eyes. Goddess, I love this man. I’m really lucky.

“Sleep well, darling?” He asks.

“Yeah. How much longer until we get there?” I ask him.

“A couple of hours.” He said, still gazing at me.

“Why do you keep looking at me like that?” I asked.

“Am I not allowed to stare at my beautiful mate?” He asked raising an eyebrow at me.

“Of course you are, I just want to know why. What are you thinking?”

“I’m thinking, I’m a lucky bastard. I’m thinking about our pup currently growing in your belly. I’m thinking are we having another boy or is it a girl this time. Either way, I’m just happy it’s with you.” He said.

My heart melts and my eyes soften. “I love you too, my alpha.” I reach for his hand and then said, “I hope we have a girl this time. What do you think we should name her if it is a girl?”

“I like Aurora.” He said quietly, “It means ‘dawn’, and I kind of like that the dawn brings the sun. If you are carrying a girl, I plan to spoil her. I want her standards to be very high.”

I chuckled, “Since when are you not spoiling? Our boys are also spoiled. I like Aurora too. I also like ‘Celeste. It’s supposed to mean heavenly. Aurora Celeste Willis has a wonderful flow to it, don’t you think?”

“I think it’s as beautiful as you. Our daughter would no doubt look like you.” He said.

“And if we have another boy? Then what do you want to name him?”

“Adrian sounds good.” He said.

“I was reading in the library recently. I came across the name Lynx. I thought it was different. Adrian Lynx Willis would also be a good fit.”

He smiles and says, “Sounds like we are going to have either an Adrian or an Aurora then.”

“Yup. I think we need to think about another nanny though. Mary is pregnant and we will need a temporary replacement for her. But I think another nanny would be nice.”

“Well, since I plan to fill our floor full of our pups, I think we may have to expand our wing for the army of nannies we are going to need.” Austin said laughing at my horrified expression.

“An army of nannies? Really?” I said laughing.

For the rest of the trip, we laugh and continue making plans for our family to keep growing. We discussed about a time out from having pups to color theme, Halloween costumes, birthday parties, and so much more. By the time we were done, we arrived at the hotel. I’m still feeling really good after Dr. Hadley patched me up today.

When we get to our room, Austin grabs me and claims my mouth. Desire flared in me for the first time in a week. Apparently, that desire has overtaken my mate too.

“Let’s shower” he growls.

“Yes.” I moan and he scoops me up and leads me to a very nice bathroom.

He strips my clothes from me and turns on the shower before stripping his own clothes. He is moving at lightning speed. “I’m desperate for you, right here, right now…” He says, crashing his lips to mine. He lifts me up again and this time my legs go instinctively around his waist. As we are in the shower he presses me against the wall and in one thrust is inside me.
