Chapter 197
Rebel POV
After that delicious lunch, everyone feels recharged. Stefan orders two guards to go to Liora’s address and search her home, while IT goes through her computer in her office. Stefan, grandpa, Austin, and I go to the office and start going through her things. We don’t find anything though, at least nothing that is obvious.
Then the IT folks let us know they couldn’t find anything either. Our last resort was to wait for the two guards that were tasked with going to her home. Maybe they found something. If they didn’t though, then we have to think of another plan. We were hoping to bring the fight to Morgana this time, but it might not work that way now. Unless the guards come back with something.
After a couple of hours of brainstorming with Stefan, Reid, and Austin, we still don’t have a solid plan. That’s when the guards come back.
Stefan immediately asks, “Were you able to find out anything?”
“Yes, sir. We located these blueprints. It looks like an elaborate underground system with two cells, sir.”
“Underground cells? Where?” I ask.
The guards look at me, “That’s the problem. There is no indication as to where to find this place. We do believe however, that there have been upgrades to this place based on the markings found in the blueprints.”
“Show us, please.”
The guards open the blueprints. Who knew these things were so big. We ended up pinning it to the wall and going through the markings. The cells have been infused with silver. Definitely to capture a wolf. If it was in Liora’s home, then it means she knows who the intended targets are, and we need her to us for who these cages
are meant.
Not only are the cells in silver, but there is a table with chains at each corner in one cell and shackles and manacles on the other cell, directly across from one another. Like one has to witness the other being tortured, which in itself would be torture for both.
It’s a sick and weird, perverse set up. Then there are tunnels that go from the cells to an opening. The unfortunate part is that the location is not listed or was erased from the blueprints.
“Are there any digitized archived blueprints that we could bump against this blueprint to see if we can locate this place?” I ask.
Stefan answers, “There are, but we are looking for a needle in a haystack. If we could get a general area, then we could narrow the search, and it would make it quicker for us to find this place. It needs to be destroyed completely.”
My grandpa also suggests, “Perhaps, we can use a fake incentive to get her to talk?”
“That could work. But it is still a gamble if she helps us or not.” Austin says, “I mean the only thing that concerns me is Rebel’s gift. We know that her gift works on wolves, but we have never tried it on witches. We never had to before.”
He looks over at me and continues, “Darling, I know that you are quite capable. I was thinking about it over
