My grandpa looks at me with interest, “Okay my dear, strategist granddaughter, what’s the idea?”
“Liora knows her magic is gone. I had the potion on my hands. I also had it made into an aerosol spray. Since she didn’t see it, I could say it’s the antidote to restore her magic, right now.”
“Rebel, wouldn’t she know that it is a bluff? After all, Morgana lost her magic for a short period of time.” Austin asks.
“That’s why I need to call Dr. Hadley and Dr. Higslee. I need to ask them what could have been added to the potion that was on my hands that could make the effect permanent. Then I will tell Liora that I had the original potion modified to suppress her magic indefinitely. Technically, I’m giving away my position by admitting to the potion. However, since she is chained up, it won’t make a difference. Then the aerosol would only extend her effects for an additional twelve hours.” Then I add, “Besides, I don’t think she is getting out of that cell anytime soon, right?”
“Not a snowball chance in hell.” Stefan growled, “But that is a great plan. I think that would work out well. Shall we go see her then?”
“Yes but let me make the call first.” I said.

After gathering the information I needed from Dr. Higslee, who was relieved that I wasn’t asking him to actually create a potion that would take away a witch’s ability, just a theory to trick someone into talking, we set out to the cell where Liora is being held.
The guards lead the four of us down the staircase and down the hall. It is not the most pleasant smell, but I force my stomach to calm down. Austin also senses my queasiness and pushes calm through our bond to try and help settle me. It works, but I am definitely taking one of those magic nausea pills when we are through. Those little suckers are awesome.
We got to the last cell. There is Liora. Her head is down, and she is seating along the stone bench with her hands in shackles and her ankles in manacles.
She looks at me with pure hatred. “What the fuck do you want?”
I shrug my shoulders, “I came to make you a deal, but if you hate me that much, we can all leave.”
“Pfft. Like you have something I want!” She sneered.
“Actually, I’m sure I do. See, your magic is gone. Permanently.”
“You’re lying. I don’t know how you suppressed it, but I know it will come back in a day’s time. Same thing happened to Morgana.”
“You’re right that it came back for Morgana. Unfortunately, it won’t for you. See, I had my best doctors enhance the original potion to permanently suppress a witch’s magic. So originally, there was only Phoenix blood and hemlock, but now…” I said trailing off and I see her eyes widen. I got her. She knows I’m telling her the truth. Now I just need to make the lie believable.
“What! What did you do!?”

“They added the right combination of Henbane and Wolfsbane. The combination of the four, suppresses your magic permanently.”
“You bitch! I will find a way out of here and kill you!” She said.
“Oh, so feisty. Listen, sweetheart, I said I want to make a deal with you. I want information and you are going to give it to me. I will know if you are lying, too. I’m moon blessed. I was gifted the ability to know when someone is lying. If you help me, then I will help you get your magic back.”
