I’m sitting on the couch in the waiting area of the hotel. Austin was waiting in line at the reception desk to get a wakeup call in the morning. Our gammas and warriors should be here in a couple of hours, so we want them to get settled and then meet them in the morning. Meanwhile, Austin is on a rampage to ravage me every waking moment we are alone. I had no idea my scent changed so dramatically. I wonder if that means something specific.

I felt myself sitting on something and I realized I brought the potion with me. Not the aerosol. I don’t think I will need it right now, but I forgot to remove it from my pants. I rushed to get dressed before Austin tried to take me again. I was starving and I’m quite sure he hadn’t realized how long we had been in the room today. I grabbed the nearest pair of pants and put them on. I didn’t realize they were the ones I already had been wearing.

I put the lotion back in my pocket and wait patiently for Austin to finish so we can go back to our room and work on our dessert. That’s when everything happened. I free fall on my ass on a concrete floor. What the hell just happened?

I look around and I’m in a cell. In a cell with silver laced shackles and manacles. Fuck. Fuck. Fuck. My scalp is prickling. I look across and there is another cell. The cell that has the table from the blueprints. I’m in the underground system. This is Morgana. I’m looking around, and I don’t see her. Where the fuck is she?

Since she isn’t here, I immediately get the potion. I put it on my hands and tucked it back in my pocket. I don’t know what is going to happen but thank the Goddess that silver doesn’t affect me, and I put on the wrong pants. Of all the things to happen, that must be the most random thing to save my ass this time.

I try mind linking Austin, but I think I am too far under the ground to reach him.

‘Roxie, no matter what, protect our pup, okay?’

‘Of course, I’m protecting our pup. I’m not letting anything happen to you either. It’s not as hard this time. There is only one pup this time, Rebs. I wish we would have ordered room service. We could be enjoying our mate by now.’ She huffs.

‘Is that seriously what you are thinking about right now?’

‘Our mate is yummy. It’s quiet down here. Silver doesn’t affect us, and the pup is fine. So yes, I’m thinking about

our mate.’

‘For once, stop being a hussy and focus? Do you see any way to get out of here?’

‘You call it being a hussy, I call it being satisfied. No. I don’t see a way.’

I shake my head. Even in these circumstances my wolf is insatiable. I move to the bars and in case there are cameras, I grab the hem of my shirt and reach for the cell bars. It’s locked up tight and the closest thing to the cell doors on either side is a small room at the end of a short hall. It’s isolated on purpose for maximum effect of pain that Morgana wants to inflict.

There is nothing I can do, and it doesn’t look like anyone is coming. These cells look impenetrable. I need to figure this out before that bitch gets here. A thought occurs to me. What if Morgana figures out that our fight caused her to lose her magic? She may avoid me altogether.

I’m taking a risk, but I grab the potion and rub some onto the bars. If she opens the bars, then she will get the potion on her anyway without me touching her. That’s the only other plan I can come up with right now. I put the potion back in my pocket and then sit down on the cold ground.

How many more times am I going to have to deal with being snatched? I keep thinking back and I feel like I can’t get a moment of peace. I hope that when Morgana is finished, I don’t have any other problems, other than complaining about pregnancies.

Austin POV

Cronos is about to go feral. I’ve been searching for the last two hours for Rebel We are in the Crestwood district. Reid and Stefan, with some of the council guards, are with us, searching for the abandoned house. We asked the guards to show us the house where they saw Liora disappear and when we got to the location, there was no house. I whipped my head around and demanded answers. The guards swear up and down that this is the

location.

I walked all over the grounds to see if there was an entry way to a basement, but I didn’t find one. My phone starts ringing and I go to answer, “What is it?”

“Hey Alpha, we are at the hotel. Where are you?” It’s Jessup. He arrived earlier than expected.

“Jessup! I need everyone in the Crestwood District.” I said, giving them our location.

“What happened?” Jessup asks.

“Morgana took Rebel. Right through a damn portal. The house where she should be is gone.” I said quickly, looking around for any opening.

“Shit. We are coming.” Jessup said and hung up.

Stefan turns to me, “I have additional guards coming, and they are bringing Liora. If anyone knows how to get to those tunnels, it’s her. They are fifteen minutes out.”

I’m pacing back and forth; waiting for everyone to get here. Nothing can happen to Rebel and our pup. Once this issue with Morgana is resolved, I’m taking my mate on a trip to the ocean side. We have been through enough.

“Austin.” Reid interrupts my thoughts, “This is my fault. You have no idea the amount of regret I feel from everything that has happened to you and my granddaughter. Choices I made when I was younger have come back to haunt me in ways I never dreamed possible. I swear I will make this right.”

I put my hand on his shoulder, “Reid, neither Rebel nor I blame you. Morgana is a deranged lunatic. Hell bent on destroying your blood line because she was dumped. I mean, I’ve heard of broken hearted, but this is a whole new level of crazy. Don’t blame yourself. We don’t blame you.”

“I blame myself, Austin. I swear to the Moon Goddess, I’m going to make this right.” He walks away and pulls out his phone to make a call. I don’t know who he is calling, but he honestly doesn’t need to feel bad. These things happen. We get through it and move on.
